Middelburg is not a town to be visited for its beauty, but Town and Country is an excellent place to split the long distance between Johannesburg and Kruger National Park into two less tiring etapes. Even if you do not really need to split the distance, I would recommend to stop for a night in Town and Country - very close to the highway N4 you will find a charming house with pleasant and friendly hosts and you can continue the next day after an excellent breakfast. The quality/cost ratio is unbelievable"
