United KingdomLovely well laid out and well equipped property. Really relaxing feel about the whole place. Views at the end of the driveway overlooking the Crocodile river into the KNP. Lovely attentive staff and interaction with Michelle the owner always good and on hand. Very highly recommended to all that love the true African way of life. Also on the plus side the property is only 15 mins from Crocodile Bridge the entrance to the Kruger Park.

United KingdomEverything was great. We arrived on a very hot afternoon to be greeted by Rene (the manager / owner) and some iced tea. Location is wonderful with very comfortable chalet type accomodation. (This is not 5* hotel territory but as long as your expectation is set for being in the African Bush, it is 5*.) Rene made some great suggestions for places to eat locally, and we also ate breakfast and supper "in" which we very much enjoyed. Lovely to see wildlife (kudu, impala, warthog, zebra, giraffe, etc) walking past your bedroom window.
Very easy access to the Kruger. We enjoyed both an organised drive and several days of self-drive. Rene was always around, along with his small staff, to ensure we were comfortable.

Louise invited us into her wonderful accomodation very close to the Kruger National Park.
The house looks even more beautiful than on the pictures! We spent our first evening drinking wine in the pool and were greeted by Zebras! Kudus, warthogs and mongoose were also frequent visitors during our 3-night long stay.
The location was perfect, with a little SPAR nearby for grocery shopping. Due to the close proximity to the Kruger we were able to arrive very early in the morning to have the chance to see lions! Interacting with the wild animals in the backyard was also magical.
The beds were soft and comfortable and the ceiling fan made sure that the rooms stayed cooler than the outside.

Beautifully decorated accommodation in the most beautiful setting. One could not ask for a better way to treat yourself. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Room size and privacy is awesome and the room offers more than needed. The food was delicious and the way it was served right in front of our room was extra special, not to mention how lovely the table was set. We enjoyed watching the elephants and hippos right in front of Kambaku River Lodge.

Amazing location. Situated at the Crocodile River looking out over the Kruger Park. There is a huge deck with chairs and couches from which animals can be spotted while enjoying a deink from the bar. Dinner and breakfast are included, both very good!

Malelane town itself is ok - good food shopping available. Its benefit is its proximity to Kruger National Park.
Would recommend Hamiltons restaurant not far from the park gate and The Deck a bit further along Crocodile river with great views of the river.

I think if you are a couple don't choose single beds maybe double bed is better. The place is full of mosquitoes be prepared and buy something that can protect you that's what we did.the lodge is located in the township not good for other people .no microwave no kettle to make tea

The area we stayed in was quiet and safe.
The area we stayed in was quiet and safe. I liked that there were a few restaurants to choose from, even ones affordable to South Africans. The SPAR that did deliveries was a bonus. The local, permanent residents were super friendly and always ready to point out animals in the adjacent Kruger National Park. The roads off the main road are gravel, but if you drive slowly, it is easily managable. We bought a 40kg bag of pellets for the wildlife and enjoyed putting it out for them.

We use Malelane as our last stop into Kruger.
We use Malelane as our last stop into Kruger. Being 7 hours away not only is it a good resting stop after a long drive but also the opportunity to stock up on Supplies. There is everything you need at the Mall. Between Spar & now Woolworths you are able to stock up well.
Nice and close to entrance to Kruger.

It is like living in the true African wild.
It is like living in the true African wild. There are excellent restaurants serving great food, as well as convenient small shops to stock up on anything you may have forgotten. And if your love of the wild needs another boost, it is 30 minutes from the incredible Kruger National Park.

A nice place to be. Not enough for a short stay. There is so much to do and see if you visit a place a few days. The Kruger Park is within reach. The eateries are relatively a few km away. Rural but very nice experience for an urban person.
