Absolutely everything was perfect. A little gem! We ordered a braaipack in advance. It contained so much more than expected. In addition to the meat, there was roosterkoek, jam, salad, pumpkin fritters and more. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and fresh drinkwater was supplied. The Swartberg Mountains around us were breathtaking. We loved our stay. It was booked for a stay-over location close to the Cango Caves but we will be back for a longer stay at some stage to explore the area further.

Wonderful, friendly, Karoo hospitality. Small boutique hotel in a small town in the Little Karoo. Fabulous food. Ostrich steaks. Selection of local wines and artisinal beers. Classic Movie nights. Showers and baths with lots of hot water. Good cooked breakfast. The decor is original from the time when the hotel was opened in 1950's. There are many art works by local artists. Location. Very central to eateries and the town. The rooms are quite sound proof. No unnecessary intrusions from staff. Was quite busy when we visited and you wouldn't have noticed. The pool was well kept and maintained. We could just drop the keys in the box when we left. The rooms have aircon which was a life saver during the December heatwaves.

It was out of this world. Everything was perfect. Could not have had a better time at De Cango. The lake was perfect for swimming and cooling off. I went for a few early morning runs on the various tracks around the farm. Looking out onto the ostriches and springbok from our room was really special. The kitchenette and shared kitchen has everything you need to stay for months. Make sure you bring all your food because it's 30 mins + away from the nearest supermarket. You are completed surrounded by nature here and it is wonderful.
