Great location, spacious, comfortable, well equipped apartment. We booked a sea view apartment which had the added bonus of whale watching from the balcony. The staff were all wonderful and exceptionally helpful. I wish we’d stayed longer!

A lovely small estate in an 1801 property. Must impressed with Swellendam, a lovely old town with some great buildings. De Kloof had some beautiful gardens and the pool area particularly nice. Breakfast served was excellent. Staff all most kind and delighted, and surprised to have my car cleaned. Quite unexpected. Our room was separate from the main house, all named after a different grape. Sauvignon Blanc was our suite. Huge bathroom. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Everything is wonderful, what an amazing place. An Oasis. We even decided on an extra night and will return. The garden is amazing, the hot tub and pool superb and the service spectacular. I cannot recommend this enough. Diego and Réka are support hosts. If you want to de-stress or take a break this is the place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stanford Valley Lodge with our family. The bungalows are beautiful, offering breathtaking views of the mountains. The entire estate is stunning, with a fantastic pool that is truly family-friendly. A special highlight of our stay was the Manor House restaurant, which we visited every evening – the food was simply outstanding! But what truly sets Stanford Valley Lodge apart is the warmth and kindness of the people who work there. Everyone made us feel so welcome, and we’d like to give a special mention to Varda at reception, who was incredibly helpful and made our stay even more memorable. We can highly recommend Stanford Valley Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and hospitable getaway. We will definitely be back!

This place is out of this world. When we checked in around 5pm two giraffes were walking right next to our cottage! Unbelievable welcome. Make sure you book the cottage as they are amazing - especially the hot tub and barbecue. We made most of our stay. We sat on terrace, with fire, bbq, and right in front of our cottage - so many animals were walking by - giraffes, ostriches…inside everything is well equipped - kitchen has all you need. And fast WiFi and electricity works all the time. Staff is very friendly and we fell so welcomed. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything!

In my reservation, I have mentionned that we are on our Honeymoon travel, so the Hotel upgrade my room, and we also have a complimentary bottle of wine. After dinner, when we went back in the room, there was petals flower on the bed writing I Love U. It was awesome, so we loved that place and we will remember for a long time. I highly recommend this hotel everything was perfect !

The room/apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of size, decor, views from the room, fireplace, kitchen facilities and the best part it being central to everything in Hermanus. We parked safely right next to our door in gated garage, but we never even used the car, we walked and explored the whole Hermanus from right out of our hotel room/apartment.

The hotel is beautifully designed. Elegant yet comfortable/cozy. The staff was attentive, friendly and so helpful. The location is perfect. Hermanus is a popular destination town for both international and local tourists. We visited for two primary reasons, the first as a stop at the beginning of our Garden Route road trip and secondly in the hope of spotting whales. We were not disappointed on either front. On the morning of our stay we spotted two whales and a pod of dolphins from our accommodation. We took an early evening walk along the coastal path. If we were staying longer we would have definitely walked more of this path, I believe it runs for up to 8km in total. The town is charming with a friendly feel, we bought some fish and chips to take back to our apartment. There are great options for eating out or stocking up on groceries if you are are self catering.

For visiting the hot springs it is good, however it is expensive and you are better off staying in an Air BnB near by and visiting the springs in the day time. Bedrooms lack privacy and are prone to noise from the outside and neighbouring rooms well into the evening.

Stanford is a quaint, peaceful and very beautiful Village.

Stanford is a quaint, peaceful and very beautiful Village. It offers the chance to rekindle your oneness with nature and explore the beauty of the surrounding countryside and Reserves. Stanford offers a unique shopping experience, which seemingly encourages a more relaxed, ambient pastime. We were very privileged to be able to dine at Madre's, an iconic restaurant with food to match, a gastronomic experience in itself. There appears to be annual shows held in the town, those being the Flower Show and the Motor Shows, both of which appear to attract great interest from locals and holidaymakers alike. A beautiful and very special town, with its very own personality and charm.

Loved going back in time in this small fishing village. Dont forget to buy all your food and drinks because there is not a lot you can buy in Arniston. And also having cash is good as there is no cash point anywhere. Local liquor store that is at the back of hotel tho has enough drinks but selection is obviously not as good as in Bredarsdorp closest place to do big shopping.
