A pleasure to look at, a pleasure to stay. Very friendly hostess. Easy access to the property. Lots of privacy because it is a big appartment, separated but adjacent to the main house, with its own entrance and parking space. If it wasn't for the loadshedding that interrupted constantly, it would have been perfect.

The Dungbeetle River Lodge was mentioned on many blogs and forums that recommended accommodation for visiting Addo Elephant Park and we quickly understood why: an exceptional place where we would have liked to spend more time.
A magnificent view and location along the river (incredible view at breakfast), rooms decorated with great taste, a welcoming and available owner.
The plus: the possibility of going on excursions for the activities they offer, in particular game reserves in Addo.
We did the tour with Christo, great day and experience.

This was definitely the best place I stayed in South Africa. The bed was comfortable, the food was amazing, the stars were incredible and the staff were divine. I arrived with no food and no transport and they bent over backwards to make sure I was thoroughly taken care of the entire time. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Port Alfred is a small and attractive town with beautiful and clean beaches . It has beautiful villas guest houses and nice hotels with tasty food .There are so many tourist attractions eg. The golf club. It has two malls, Heritage mall and Rosehill mall. We went to eat at spur with my family.

My stay at Adventure Apartment, Colchester was truly wonderful. The space was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and offered a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. Every detail from the serene surroundings to the warm and welcoming ambiance, was thoughtfully arranged. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and a touch of elegance. Old style of buildings but in the based in the nature. Super bedroom and in the morning all kind of animals where in front of your room. Also the Akmala Game reserve tour is highly recommendable because we saw so many wild animals (lions, rhino's, cheetahs, secretary bird,...)
The dinner in the lodge was superb.

Really interesting community.
Really interesting community. Best place is on the stoep at the Pig and Whistle. Their food was great, there is a pool table for entertainment for the kids. Prices are very good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

This was a new listing , and we were the first guests, LUCKY US!! The facilities offered are too many to mention. An updated kitchen with everything that opens and closes and more. Filter water on tap, a wine fridge, every spice that you can imagine. If you have forgotten anything at home, no stress they have it. A beautiful, clean, large family home. The beds are comfortable, shower pressure is great, wifi, dstv and views from every bedroom. Our host Larraine was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. This gem is a true home from home

The village of Cannon Rocks is very quaint , beautiful beaches that are completely un-spoilt with excellent walks on the beaches and in the coastal forest - All shopping catered for in Kenton on Sea which is a 20 minute drive away

Beautiful coastal town with lots to do. We attended a beer festival in Wharf street.
Guido's at the beachfront is a must for a simple but cheap meal with friendly service. The chicken liver starter is absolulelty to die for and enough as main meal.

We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while...
We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Addo. We arrived in the late afternoon and then took a full day game drive from the lodge. It was a bit much for us and would do a morning game drive next time. The experience was awesome, it was just too long for our pensioner bodies! Staying 2 nights was perfect because the evening gave us a nice recovery period before we hit the road for our return to Cape Town. Dungbeetle River Lodge was a perfect location from which to travel into Addo. It's literally 3 minutes from the south gate of the park.

This is the place to stay for easy access to Private Game Reserves and Safaris. Recommend Addo Elephant Park, Pumba Private Game Reserve & Sibuya. The restaurants were amazing too. Stanleys is a must. Pizzarella have amazing pizzas. Vollo and Voila also great.
