GermanyWonderland was the most special place I’ve seen so far. The views you can get from around this house leave you in awe. Literally a dreamhouse with everything you could wish for. Waking up in this quiet jungle like atmosphere with the sounds of the nature gives you amazing morning energy.
The staff of the house became almost like friends, they are incredibly sweet characters, everyone special and very helpful. The breakfast was super tasty including Eggs, with veggies & bacon, croissants and a breakfast Smoothie, always fresh on the go. Checking in and out was easy and fast. The host Patrick did a wonderful job with arranging all of our wishes so you can keep on dreaming. When you enter Wonderland you don’t want to leave anymore. There are so many things to discover in this house, you could spend a whole week venturing around. If you do want to leave, we also booked a Vineyard tasting right next door at Constantia Glen with an amazing Mountain View. Through an easy app system called Mydestination I booked a massage on the roof of the house in a green oasis which felt like a jungle. The masseuse was top notch.

Beautiful cape style cottages, tastefully decorated in great location in Hout Bay with Mountain Views. Excellent breakfast including homemade bread, eggs meats and delicious homemade jams. Hosts, Valerie and Samuel are simply wonderful and eager to help with suggestions and advice.

A fantastic accommodation with incredible
views. Ivanka made us feel very welcome, comfortable beds and our own balcony. There is nice pool for a morning swim, but the best is the fabulous breakfast served to the table with a large variety of everything. We are coming back

The Houtbay harbour is definetly something for any traveller to experience.
World of birds was a great outing our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it.
The fish market had the freshest fish too with great variety.

The staff is very welcoming, friendly and very diligent in their work. The place is a dream really, the views of the mountains are majestic. Rooms very comfortable and very clean every day. The food was delicious. It's so quiet and peaceful you would think you the only guest. There is an additional games room to use which is very elegantly decorated. Kudos to all staff and the owner.

This place is just the worst.
This place is just the worst. Pics on the site is deceiving.... Not what I expected....i want my money back... I did not stay at this place... I don't know if this people expected animals would come and stay for the weekend.... If I stay away for a weekend, I expect it to home away from home... I was just not happy.... Broken tiles, broken door handles, dirty shower, cockroaches running on the table.... I'm so so disappointed in this place... Hideaway will never see me ever.

Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant. It had great fresh fish and we could walk there on the beach.
The least favorite was the haggling and begging at the docks before and after the seal boat ride. This town was our first stop in South Africa and it really represented the divide between wealth and poor.
I think to get around you will have to have a rental car.
definitly drive part way up the cliff drive, the sceanery and plant life was very interesting.

Poor parking. Should have a shuttle for elderly. This neighborhood takes law in own hands and use parking shortage to keep their beach off limits.

We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights.
We stayed in Hout Bay for three nights. It's a small fishermen town, very sleepy/peaceful. Yet, there are enough restaurants and bars to find your taste. We were two girls travelling alone, but we felt very safe there. You can easily do some hikes from there, take a walk at Hout Bay Beach, visit Cape Good Hope or Chapmans Peak. Other than that, there is not very much to do. So pick Hout Bay if you want a safe and peaceful stay near Cape Town!
