Die Coconut Grove Beachfront Resort bieten Unterkünfte am Strand in Matei auf der Insel Taveuni. Eine absolute Traumlocation! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Bure direkt am Strand. Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind absolute Herzensmenschen, unglaublich sympathisch, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant war herausragend gut. Wir dachten anfangs noch, wir würden nicht jeden Tag dort essen (die Preise sind nicht günstig) - haben uns dann aber doch dafür entschieden. Einfach zu lecker! Es blieben keine Wünsche offen, wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt!

Verbringen Sie Ihren Tag mit Surfen, Tauchen, Schnorcheln oder einfach nur in einer Hängematte am Strand in diesem solarbetriebenen Öko-Resort. What did I like? Where do I start? I liked...no, I loved every minute of my stay at Maqai. It is as close to paradise as I'll allow my pragmatic mind to entertain. From the relative remoteness to the natural beauty, the super-relaxed atmosphere to the genuine warmth of the staff, this is a very special place. More of a traveller vibe than that of the well-worn tourist path of the islands closer to Nadi. Slightly rustic? Sure, but only in the best possible way. Cathy (manager) ran as tight a ship as possible on a tropical island in the Pacific. She was welcoming and prompt with her email replies to my questions regarding all the various water sports and cultural experiences on the island. In no particular order, the following staff members quickly began to feel like old friends...Navo, Etta, Sala, Emosi, Soni, Tui, Junior, Jale, Johnny, Mama's Soke & Luce, Netta and Suki (four legged and furry). They all exude such an authentically friendly yet service oriented approach to their individual roles. I can't speak highly enough of how they looked after me. It is up to you how much or how little activity you schedule into your day on Qamea. Highlights included surf trips to the outer reefs, snorkelling and lunch on the Island Tour, the Sunday morning village visits and church service, and the food. Crikey, the food. I had to ask for slightly less portions by dinner time, or I would have no room left for evening kava with the locals! If you're reading this review and considering/comparing it with other options in Fiji, fair enough, but I honestly feel it is a rare and rich experience worth every cent and the added travel time to get there. Paradise Taveuni is located on the island of Taveuni. Please book domestic flights to the island through www.fijiairways.com. Take a taxi from the Taveuni airport to the Resort (approx 60 mins). The snorkelling out the back of the hotel was lovely. There was a large staff to customer ratio which meant there was always someone to help you. Lots of lovely plants at the hotel and the rooms were nice. Free water refills is always appreciated.
