The hotel is absolutely new. Our room was spacious, fresh, and very clean, with a nice and well-maintained bathroom. If I ever visit Arugam Bay again, I would definitely stay here again — out of all the hotels in this price range, this one is the best! The hotel is run by a very polite and kind family who made us feel welcome. The location was excellent — on the main road, within walking distance to cafes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the beach, but you can also walk to it (20 minutes) It was quiet at night, and we had a very peaceful stay. There’s also a lake next to the hotel, where elephants sometimes come to drink — a beautiful sight to witness. All guest rooms are located on the second floor. They also plan to open a restaurant soon on the ground floor.

We really enjoyed our room, the sound of the ocean, and more then all - the very kind hosts of this place! We stayed for two weeks and really felt like it’s our little home in Sri Lanka, breakfast was great and we got all help we needed and beyond from the hosts. This is really all you can ask for!! I recommend from all my heart!

My stay at Beach Cap was fantastic the staff really make this small hotel amazing. The friendly staff provided an excellent laundry service and will make the best coffee in the morning they have become close friends because of the way they are and their hospitality. Nayeem the manager runs the accommodation very well and will even take you excursions to see elements and crocodiles. The local Tuk Tuk driver Mauna would go out of his way to take you anywhere you want at a very reasonable price even for a morning surf at 4:30 am The room was excellent with a large very comfortable double bed, good air conditioning and its own private en-suite shower room that was very clean. There is also a private courtyard attached to each room with a hammock coffee table and a few chairs I can put my hand on my heart and say that this is the very best place that I have stayed ❤️

Wild Waves Kumana Safari & Surf Resort Hotel - Panama Near Arugam Bay bevindt zich in Panama, op 10 km van Elephant Rock, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een restaurant. Wild Waves Hotel is the place to stay if you are interested in Safari within Kumana National Park. We had an exceptional driver as good an animal spotter as our guide!. We were lucky enough to have him as our guide. He knew so much about the animals and their behaviors. It gave us the best chance of having so many great leopard/animal encounters. The food and hotel staff was also fantastic. If I come back to Sri Lanka I would skip Yala National Park and come here for a few nights more. There is no mobile signal in Kumana to alert other drivers to where wildlife is so usually the leopard encounters are just yourself and no-one else. Just note - the national park is still about 30 minutes drive away from the hotel (but this is the nearest hotel to Kumana entrance) and Panama is a quiet place (more peaceful than Arugum Bay). Its def not a party place like Arugum bay. Safaris are from 5am until about 6.30pm. Hotel charges only for the private safari cab. No any hidden charges. We can pay directly to the tickets at the entrance gate. I would also recommend maybe bringing a neck buff and protection for expensive camera equipment (towel to cover). There is a lot of dust that kicks up off the road. This Hotel arranges food with parcels if you select full day safari. Wild Waves Kumana Hotel was my best selection.
