We stayed at Simpson’s Forest – Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa in February 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—set among lush tea plantations and forested hills, it’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The double room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food throughout our stay was excellent, with a great mix of local and international dishes. The value for money here is exceptional, especially considering the level of service and quality of the facilities. The staff were a major highlight. The front desk team were warm, professional, and very helpful. A special mention to Wasantha at the restaurant—he was incredibly kind and accommodating, making each meal feel like a personalized experience. The only small downside is that the resort is located about 45 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy city center, which can make getting back and forth a bit of a trip. That said, the peaceful setting more than makes up for the distance. We highly recommend Simpson’s Forest to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a scenic, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely love to return!

Aarunya Nature Resort has free bikes and an outdoor swimming pool in Kandy. The property features a fitness centre, as well as a garden. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Prachtige locatie, zelden zoiets gezien. Fantastisch uitzicht vanuit je slaapkamer. Super vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. Een massage is echt de moeite waard en een mooie beleving.

Het Green View Holiday Resort biedt een verscheidenheid aan kamers, elk met een eigen badkamer. In de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes van het resort is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. Alles was zeer schoon en netjes. De hosts zijn supervriendelijk en regelen alles wat je maar wil. Prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding uitstekend, zwembad was geweldig!

Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge ligt te midden van glooiende en groene heuvels en de theeplantage Madulkelle. Na een hobbelig bergpad kom je op 1000 m hoogte op een ongelooflijk prachtige locatie. Omgeven door theevelden, de Knuckles mountains en Campbell Forest. Prachtige tenten om in te slapen, heel mooi restaurant met heel lekker eten en heel erg vriendelijke werknemers. Erg genoten van ons verblijf, een aanrader!

The Dorwin Heights is gelegen in Kandy, op 1,7 km van Sri Dalada Maligawa, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. We had a wonderful stay at The Dorwin Heights. Despite the challenging circumstances following the recent cyclone we did not feel any of the effects. The hotel is brand new and still under construction in some areas, and the surrounding area is still recovering (we could see some landslides, but all roads are cleared) but the staff worked hard to make our stay feel relaxing and enjoyable. The service was impressive - quick, friendly, and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious! The staff deserve a huge shout-out for their warm hospitality, making us feel welcome and cared for. We spent three nights in a Deluxe Room with balcony and we very much enjoyed the balcony, the view, the comfy bed, enough space to empty our backpacks and the clean and new bathroom with an excellent shower. If you're looking for a comfortable and peaceful oasis above the buzzing city, The Dorwin Heights is a great choice!
