The bed was so comfortable, pillows, sheets ,duvet and all . Turn down service as well. Extremely spacious rooms ,very clean . The whole facility is immaculately organised , the safaris are professional, brand new cars , packed soft box with all essentials on private tours . Guides and hotel staff are so friendly and helpful . Would definitely they recommend to friends and family. Dinner service is top with a good selection of wines appetisers and mains with great avckground music and boma fire I in the middle. Same as breakfast 5 star . Viewing deck was very relaxing and had great pizza and draft beer . Spa had a super view with decent practioners . Oh and the gym was on point as well with bathrooms close by and a chance to view some animals while working out haha.

There are no words to classify the whole experience, Is it not a 5 star experience, but a 7 none! From the lodge itself, the facilities with extreme quality and good taste, to the delicious food prepared by an amazing chef, and the service with a butler always available and ready to supply your needs. (Octavia was amazing) The owners want to make sure you have a perfect stay and they actually listen to your requests and make it happen. Thank you so much for the amazing experience.

Just so wonderful to be right on the Longmere Dam. Had some fantastic looooong swims. Enjoyed the early mornings with all the bird activities. Such a peaceful location.

TL;DR: Most lovely and amazing hosts, awesome place! we’ve had an amazing stay at Willie and Retha their place. the place is amazing with all cosy little spots to sit at. they light lots of candles at night what makes it a cosy place. we loved drinking cold savannahs and being able to choose a bottle of wine. we loved the stellar food Retha prepared herself together with her staff. We advise Michelin to go and check, amazing!! they arranged a Nice gamedrive for us and Willie even Made us coffee before we went out and Made sure we got in the truck at 4:40 in the morning. the evenings were cosy, watching the Bush baby and other animals. also breakfast in the Backyard and getting close to the wildlife during breakfast was super cool. they Made sure we had an amazing stay and a visit to Kruger that we Will remember forever. Willie and Retha thank you so much and know you are always welcome in our home

Kapama River lodge is truly the getaway you need and deserve - Staff are amazing, kind, courteous and caring - The kitchen staff catered for all diets and their food was amazing, it was like having fine dining every evening - Our rooms were exceptional (we were lucky enough to have the Royal suite) which had an amazing view and was large and comfortable - Facilities were great, with a well kitted gym and fantastic spa - Game drives were excellent, our ranger was knowledgeable and a constant source of entertaining information. We were lucky enough to not only experience the big 5 but also gain a better understanding of the ecology and flora around the lodge - Location from Hoedspruit airport is almost a stone throw, the airport is literally across the entrace to the lodge.
