A good base to explore the local monastery and sandstone pyramids from. The local family are great and Svetwa in particular works very hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The house itself is lovely and food in the connected restaurant building is hearty and great value. You will probably need Google translate to make yourself understood (unless you speak Bulgarian) but that can be fun too! It would also be useful to see the words "Family Hotel Dinchova kushta" in English somewhere on the sign outside when you first arrive :-)

The Perun Hotel enjoys a peaceful location next to the large city park on the edge of Sandanski. It offers fine Bulgarian cuisine.

Really really good hotel (I think it’s more of a hotel than motel)… Huuuge rooms, huge beds. WiFi is good. There was parking for the cars, 24/7 reception. Wonderful TVs in the rooms. Very kind staff. The restaurant is wonderful, great service and great food. Also the garden is pretty nice. Besides everything above, they allowed us late checkout because the room was not reserved after us. I would recommended this motel for sure if you visit Sandanski.
