Romantic Hotels in Andermatt

This was our second visit to the Chedi at Andermatt and it was as special as the first visit. The room was perfectly appointed. The selection of food available for breakfast is one of the best breakfast i have had.

Like many reviewers of Hotel Posta, the Breakfast is good which is important when skiing. On offer in winter is a buffet comprising 3 different cereals, plus porridge, fruit, a number of different breads, natural yoghurt, nutella and other spreads, honey, boiled eggs, cheeses, hams, prosciutto, salami, coffee, tea orange juice, apple juice, water. A good range, continuously replenished. In addition the hotel has an excellent restaurant which serves high quality evening meals including vegetarian options. Complimenting this are Cheese board, deserts and a very broad wine list including good local wine and also local beer (meaning real ale/ craft beer). Our room was sizeable with comfortable beds, a good size bathroom and powerful shower. It was also diligently cleaned every day. Last but not least were the staff. They made the real difference. They were genuinely helpful, kind and thoughtful. We really enjoyed our stay because we were looked after and made to feel very welcome. We were quite sad to leave. Further important information that may help you... The ski fields are dispersed, you can ski between most subject to snow and weather conditions. However the road between Andermatt and Dieni is closed in Winter. It's best to use the train. Train tickets for 5 days or longer are available from the Dieni ski lift station. Its about 1 mile from the hotel (easy walk/drive). The tickets enable travel between Andermatt and Disentis and all the stops in-between which allows you to travel between ski fields easily if the connecting lifts are not working or your feeling tired. The nearest train station to the hotel is called Reuras, its a 10 minute walk uphill from the hotel and is served regularly. If you have an epic pass then you can get an unlimited pass covering Andermatt, Sedrun, Disentis ski fields. You can get this at Dieni ski lift station. Switzerland uses a different 3 pin plug from most of Europe. You will need an adapter.

A beautiful stay and the best shower I have ever had

Everything was perfect in this apartment hotel, great value for just what I needed. A pleasant surprise for an overnight stay in this little place during my Swiss roadtrip!

Pretty family run Swiss hotel. Very Welcoming and excellent value for money. Very good restaurant on site. Very adequate breakfast.

We really loved the pool area, breakfast, the large size of the room, the kids playroom, the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. All in all a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Great hotel in the scenic Grimsel Pass area. Fabulous location for walking or visiting the Gelmerbahn. Bus stops at the door and it's only 1 hour from Meiringen. The terrace restaurant is nice for during the day or pre-dinner drinks. Food is outstanding especially considering the isolated location. Well done to the kitchen staff and chef.

I had a dream vacation in Oberwald in this very clean, modern, comfortable hotel! It is very close to the railway station, around 5-7 minutes on foot. It offers good food in their restaurant. The room was impressive with very modern facilities and clean as a crystal glass. I took day trips and immersed myself in wonder !
