Location was excellent - perfectly placed right below the Staubach Falls with a beautiful view from the balcony of our room. The site is surrounded by beautiful mountains and waterfalls in all foru sides.. This kitchen (though it was a common) ut had all the facilities needed -Fridge, Freezer, Hotwater Kettle, Microwave, all plates and utencils, washing liquid and scrubber. Vessels include pots, frying pans, sieve. Nothing was short at all. Staff we coming frequently to dry the washed plates and vessels with a cloth and leave then in their places. We stayed for two nights (pre-season) in a room with view (highly recommend, the view is simply stunning!). The room was spacious, modern, clean, silent and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, nothing too fancy but perfectly sufficient and good quality products. We had dinner twice and once enjoyed a snack midday in the restaurant, service was always very nice and attentive, the different dishes we ordered were amazing and super delicious

We had a balcony room and we have absolutely no regrets - the view was absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed just sitting on the balcony soaking in the views, with the soundtrack of cow bells ringing. The room was a decent size, the bathroom clean and shower good pressure, there were even some extra seats and a desk to spread out, and plenty of room for our suitcases. The staff were fantastic, and the food in the attached restaurant also delicious. This was our favourite stay for our whole holiday, it really left an impression on us.

Hotel Schönegg is a 3-star superior hotel located right in the centre of car-free Wengen, which is only reachable by train.

First, the high quality and professionalism of the hotel staff were what separated this hotel from others. They were consistently courteous, efficient and willing to engage with the guests. Second, the creativity and variety of the restaurant menu are worth mentioning.
