This was a stay in a beautiful art deco style villa dated 1907. Once inside the boutique hotel, we entered a warm haven of a gold and brown coloured interior, and were heartily welcomed by the lady at the reception. She offered us a coffee, while she finished cleaning our room, as to allow us an early check-in. The hotel manager helped us with bringing up the luggage to our room. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and with all comfort to feel “home away from home”. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of homemade goodies. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Expectations were high, but the hotel matched and exceeded them. Great location. We had a room with view on the Wartburg. Just lovely. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food and drinks in the restaurant excellent (dining outside is an option if weather allows). Great breakfast (scrambled eggs made with actual eggs!) with free choice of coffee and refill.

Very nice building and rooms. The gym was also very nice and the sauna was great too. The location was also very nice easy to walk and enjoy the city.

Staying in a historical villa gave us an insight into the other historical villas in Eisenach. Our host provided us with insights and tips about the area and told us of some of her experiences in the old East Germany. She drove us to a nearby Chinese restaurant. The house is well situated and quiet. We were offered free toiletries and dressing gowns.

Situated in the centre of the culturally rich town of Eisenach, the traditional hotel Glockenhof is within walking distance of the Bach House, the Wandelhalle and the Kartaus Garden.
