This is the second time we have stayed here, which is probably recommendation enough! As before the couple who run it were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread, croissants and home made jams. We were in a downstairs bedroom this time and had no problem with the internet. The shower was fine. There was a kettle in the room. The accommodation is within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. This time we had managed to get a booking at Le Raisin just 5 mins walk away and in the Michelin guide. Access from the motorway is easy. We were heading south on our way to Italy and filled up with cheap petrol the evening before when we had come off the motorway.

Perfect place to stop over en-route to Calais. Host was very friendly and attentive. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Restaurant down the road (the only one in the village) was also great. So no complaints whatsoever.

Lotte’s smile made us feel instantly welcome! We arrived relatively late and headed out immediately afterwards for dinner (little did we know that they also have a table d’hôtes. Oh well, will try it next time). The room - La Cave - was spacious, very clean and a breath of fresh air after our first night in Tournus, where we did not have such a great night. The bed was very comfy and we slept very well despite being notoriously bad sleepers when on the road. Breakfast was lovely - home-made yoghurt, jam - and all kinds of other treats. Last but not least, Noortje is one of the best behaved dogs we’ve come across on our travels. They also directed us to the cave in Azé where we discovered some nice wines. We will most definitely be back!
