The location, in the middle of the town common was so much fun. Livestock of all kinds, mingled together with the golfers. We enjoyed the rather grew-like-topsy floor plan for the public rooms on the ground floor, resulting in numerous interesting nooks and crannies for drinks and snacks. The breakfast was good. Lunch was excellent; we regret not giving the kitchen a try for dinner. Our room was clean and bright with a lovely outlook over the cows on the common.

Absolutely everything!! The building itself is exceptional, the rooms are beautiful, she water pressure in the showers is top notch, the food was divine, the open fire places in the lounges were beautifully lit in the evenings, and as for the service, wow!!! We can highly recommend this hotel!!!

The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome, both when checking in and in the restaurant. The breakfast was excellent with many choices, including a fruit tray. My room was bright, airy and comfortable.
