Massive property overlooking the beach. The room was huge with ample space. The staff were exceptional. Always smiling and happy to help. We felt so welcome. We had the breakfast buffet and the Sri Lankan options were top notch!

The hotel was more than wonderful. I recommend it 100% !! My friends and I stayed in Sri Lanka in 6 different hotels, some of which were 5 stars. The Tinara Inn River Hotel was the best by far. Most importantly though, it was spotless, everything was perfectly clean from the outdoors areas to the rooms, which was quite difficult with our stays in Sri Lanka. Mrs Babi is very helpful, she makes you feel that she is hosting you in her home. She did everything to make us feel good, from the first minute we stepped foot in her hotel. In addition, it is in a perfect location!! You don't need tuk tuk to go to the beach because it's only a 5 minute walk. It is also , 3 minutes from the main street with the most famous breakfast and brunch coffee shops. Mrs Babi also helped us when we needed tuk tuk as well as a shuttle for our transfer to the airport! Mrs Babi thank you for the amazing hospitality 🙏 We will miss you !! ❤️

Staying inside the fort area, that too in a restored property from the 18th century, it was an unbelievable experience. Beautiful location, gorgeous views. The staff are the nicest, kindest people I have met - they arranged everything! Starting from a bike rental to a packed breakfast at 5AM in the morning - they did it all with a smile!

Such a memorable 3 night stay in this beautiful 600 year old boutique hotel. The building and decor were stunning, rooms super comfortable, and staff amazing. The 5 course breakfasts, morning tea/coffee trays and the Prince’s Long Island Iced Teas were such a treat. Other highlights were the King’s Residence bedroom, piano man who takes song requests and the bugle player for the evening rooftop flag ceremony.

The villa has several communal sitting areas that are all very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The garden/ pool area is peaceful and even attracted a kingfisher bird. Our room and bathroom was large and the bed was perfect. The Sri Lankan breakfast option was delicious. The staff were attentive and always smiling.

The facility is of a very high standard. Cleanliness top! Taking care of customer satisfaction is the main message for all staff. The room was very good! Breakfasts were very tasty. The pool was very clean and loved by the children. Additionally, there are no crowds of guests, so relaxing in the afternoon after a stay on the nearby beaches is perfect.
