The owner and his family are really nice people, very helpful and kind. The breakfast is huge and delicious! It’s a short walk to restaurants and bars, very well located! We walked to sigiri rock in 30 min. The owner will get you anything you need ! The rooms didn’t smell of damp for once and it was good value for the money!

Would highly recommend Sunshine Villas. It is beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location with an array of wildlife at your doorstep! They arranged everything for us at ease and great prices. We stayed for 2 nights. Our flight landed at 3am and Sunshine Villas had pickup waiting to bring us straight to the accommodation. On arrival they had a beautiful breakfast waiting. They then accommodated our early check in. After a nap we were brought to the elephant safari by one of the sunshine villa staff which was incredible. They then arranged a tuk tuk driver for us for day 2! I couldnt rate more highly! The staff are so helpful and polite. The room was immaculate with hot water, and a choice of air con or a fan! I would rate 10/10

It felt like home. The staff has been so amazing. The owner and his mum took such great care of us, we’ve had great conversations but they weren’t pushy it all. It felt really natural. The bed was also really comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t the newest but it all worked. You are in the middle of the jungle so don’t expect luxury.

Dinesh and his parents are super nice hosts! The rooms are spotless and well-equipped. The local traditional breakfast his mom cooked is incredible tasty, we also loved Coconut pan much . Fresh fruit plate , authentic tea. and we also ate Dinesh's mum's fantastic food for dinner . it was some of the tastiest we've had anywhere in the world! Dinesh is super friendly and helpful as well, he'll gladly help arranged laundry outside. His father is a retired local post office officer he is super kind , My boy Liam just mentioned he love drink coconuts, the next morning his father picked the coconuts from their garden. We had the best stay during our trip to Sri-Lanka, my boy missed this family very much . Can't recommend enough!

Great place to stay at Sigirya. You are in a very calm area, in front of the Lion's rock and next to a beautiful lake. One room is with air con and has a great view. We highly recommend.

Staying in this treehouse was such a magical experience! It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. Falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the forest was incredibly soothing — I haven’t slept that well in ages. The hammock was a personal favorite – perfect for lounging, reading, or just relaxing and soaking in the calm atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and truly unwind.
