Great hotel! it was about 5 mins motorbike ride from coast and super close to the canon fort High recommend for the stay/price!

Such a sweet and comfortable homestay. It's not right in the city but with a scooter or bike or even by foot very easily reachable. The beach is also just a 25 min walk away. The owners were super helpful and friendly and gave me great advice on my upcoming travels. Delicious breakfast, which was included in the price. Sweet little outside terrace with a view. Everything was clean and great. Next time I'm coming to Cat Ba I am definitely gonna stay at Sweet Potato Homestay again.

Our stay on the Halong Sapphire Cruise was nothing short of magical. From start to finish, the crew demonstrated an impressive level of organisation, seamlessly orchestrating all the activities and meals to ensure a memorable experience for everyone onboard. One of the highlights of our trip was kayaking through caves in a tranquil lagoon – it was such a serene and beautiful adventure. The stillness of the night on the water, with the bay illuminated by the glowing lights of the surrounding ships, was absolutely breathtaking. It was a moment of peace and beauty that we’ll never forget. Our room was spectacular, with floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping around the entire space, offering uninterrupted views of the stunning bay. We especially loved the jet spa bath in our room and the luxury of having two private balconies – the perfect spot to soak in the scenery. Our only regret? Not booking more than one night! The crew were incredibly joyous and helpful throughout, and we are so grateful for their exceptional hospitality. The sunset party was a delightful way to unwind, with happy hour cocktails and karaoke providing a fun atmosphere for socialising with fellow cruisers. For those seeking a quieter time, the room offered just as much comfort and relaxation. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful guide, Da, who went above and beyond to retrieve my passport from my hotel in a different city. I wasn’t returning there after the cruise, and what could have been a stressful ordeal was handled with incredible ease. Da was an absolute blessing and a true pleasure to meet – I cannot thank him enough for his help and kindness. If you’re considering a Halong Bay cruise, the Halong Sapphire is an absolute must. It is a truly magical experience, and we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

I told them I was a vegetarian and they went the extra mile to get me suitable food. They cooked things that were not on their menu. There was this girl named Tracy and she made me feel I was at home. Thanks Tracy and all the crew
