This hotel is impressive for its heritage: first documented as a hotel in the 14C. But despite some intentional remnants in the building, the rooms have been modernized by a designer with excellent style and taste. No indication that the room was any older than a few years! We had a room with a small kitchen and courtyard view, but it was spacious and very quiet - couldn't even hear any noise from the restaurant right below. Murten is a charming medieval town that is worth stopping in for a night when the tourists are gone and the atmosphere is special.

If one could award this establishment 6* I would ( and believe me, I am particular!) The perfectly designed studio, with separate bedroom and bathroom, was exceedingly spacious, exceptionally well presented, scrupulously clean and well-equipped ( we cooked a 3 course meal). We booked breakfast, and our host, Carmen, was attentive and totally absorbed in attending to every detail. The tray of delights was brought to our room at the agreed time, and was superb!!! She even asked "how would you like your eggs....😀

It was a wonderful stay! Ana was a first person that I met in the hotel. She likes a gentle breeze to set me so comfortable although the room was not ready! With her arrangement that my room was so wonderful! Only problem was I didn’t arrange myself to stay more! Definitely I will return to this hotel!
