Very quiet at night, you can only hear the ocean. Everything is very clean. The room was cleaned every day. Water, cookies are supplied every day. Nice breakfasts. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have even sun shades and beach towels that you can borrow - so no neef to bring yours! We also received a nice card and a souvenir our last day. Highly recommended!

The Hotel Ile De Lumiere offers rooms with satellite TV and a private bathroom. Several rooms also have a private terrace. Breakfast is NOT included and served daily on the terrace or in the comfort of your room. The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, the location is great, very central and easy to get around. The staff were exceptional helpful, polite and kind. Would definitely recommend as a hotel to stay. Also their restaurant onsite was one of the best we eat in La Rochelle.

A continental breakfast is served each morning. Great location, very clean and cute room, host was exceptional. Contacted Booking.com about check in, directions were clear and easy to follow. Provided suggestions on where to eat, go… I suspect it can be hot in the summer. There was a fan in the room, which was sufficient to keep the room cool

Situated in Marennes, 100 metres from Plage de Marennes, Dormir sur la Plage features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The property is around 20 km from La Palmyre Zoo, 26 km from Fort Boyard and 27 km from Royan Golf. The property is non-smoking and is set 46 km from Saintes Train Station. Our suite was exceptionally clean with a beautiful balcony overlooking the beach. Breakfast was delivered fresh each morning and was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable and we had very restful sleep. The suite had everything we needed with lovely extra touches such as selection of hot drinks and juices and fresh fruit. The Nuxe toiletries were the icing on the cake. A truly luxury experience. We enjoyed cocktails on arrival and later ate at the adjoined Manger Sur La Plage, a wondeful experience from start to finish. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful 2 night stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you are lucky enough to find availability and I look forward to returning.

Location was great, literally right next the bike trail into Lacanau Océan or to the Velodyssee to go further afield. Secure parking for bikes, great accommodation with excellent bed. Breakfast was great too. The owners are just fantastic.
