Nice luxury hotel, room good size, bed super comfortable. Bathroom was also fine. The restaurant was great for dinner, but for the breakfast as well. Parking was arranged by the hotel. Staff ver polite and smart.

Hotel de France is housed in a former coaching inn and is located on the edge of Mende’s town centre. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Mende Cathedral.

Fantastic owners, open, service-oriented, English-speaking (which is a big plus in France when you are a tourist). The room was spacious, clean, with a big fridge, new towels, enough of sockets for charging of our devices. Attention to details was everywhere. We arrived late in the evening when it was more than 40 degree Celsius outside and our room was air-conditioned to offer us a refreshing evening. The pool was clean and big, with plenty of sun beds in the shadow and under the sun. We could buy beer and wine from the owners’ fridge and sit outside at the outdoor sofa belonging to the room. The parking was big and it is a short walk to the centre of the town as well as a 10-min drive to the beach.

Excellent breakfast and evening meal. The farm is just off the motorway but very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful upland countryside. Many easy walks accessible.

Le Clos Saint André is a real gem, also thanks to its incredibly kind owners. The apartment is beautifully furnished, bright, and spacious. We loved the private terrace, with mountain view. The breakfast was delicious, including tasty homemade jams and croissants. Thanks for your hospitality - we hope to come back one day!
