I made a request for two pieces of homemade cake that I would collect. Instead she brought this to our room with a side of cream. This was unaccepted and a lovely consideration. The Pinfold has been restored in a style that shows of the original features of its 17th century building, including its stone work and exposed wooden beams. All rooms are en suite with high quality fixtures, and there is a separate guest entrance. Absolutely beautiful room, and gracious hostess. My wife and I wished that we could have stayed longer there but we needed to move on to our next destination. There's a very nice restaurant and bar right next door to the Pinfold.

Lovely staff. Great food. It was streets ahead of the other inns we stayed in and great value.

Around 10 minutes’ drive east of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, Riverside Bed & Breakfast offers en suite accommodation in a former corn mill. There is a garden and a lounge area, plus free parking and WiFi. An excellent and very comfortable b&b run by the lovely Roxana who looked after us very well. Our room looked out over the trees, and within earshot of the nearby river burbling over rocks. And Roxana's full breakfasts are the best! We'll be back one day.
