The owners are incredibly helpful and arranged a safari and cooking class for me. The son Praneeth then was my driver for the next few days and it made my trip perfect. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the welcome drink yum. The room is super comfortable and clean and has a mosquito net and hot water! The home stay is also the walking distance to lion rock which makes it super easy to get to. I cannot thank everyone at Saman Home stay enough for making my trip so memorable!

The breakfast was delicious. They also offered a tuktuk service to Polonnaruwa for a really good price. I was very happy with my stay here.

Samans mother is an amazing cook and just has the most amazing energy. She washed our clothes and all. Saman took us to a lovely spot nearby to watch the sunset too, it was so special. A patio with mountain views is offered in all units. Honestly, the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! Out of all 7 weeks in Sri Lanka our 3 nights here were the best, and it was 90% due to this Homestay!!! We felt amazingly at home! Chamika was WONDERFUL. He hiked up to pidurangula with us and brought us surprise coffee in a coconut, and didn’t ask for anything in return! We did a cooking class and ate some of the best food ever, and chamika went to swim in a lake with us! The room was as exactly as described with comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing everyday and just laying on the rock with a view of the lake was stunning! Overall if I could rate this place 1000 stars I would! Thank you guys so much!
