The rooms are cozy and have everything you need to cook. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast! The last stretch of road up to the farm isn't suitable for road bikes, but it's not too far to walk. Thanks Annika for being flexible and letting us in late!

Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. There was really nothing not to like. I did experience a little difficult checking in as it was late and dark, and signage leaves a little to be desired. I have to take partial blame though, as if I had read my emails properly I would have realised there was an app to download that helped matters. The cottages are unpretentious but very nice, the location is unbeatable if scenery is your preference, and I had the good fortune to visit in the off-season making my stay great value. I fully expect the prices to be dramatically different in the high season though.

Close to the swimming beaches. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast had granola bar, some breads, boiled eggs and juice, tea and coffee.

300 metres from Varberg’s seafront, this modernised hotel with a stylish Cuban theme offers a roof-top terrace and free WiFi. Hotell Havanna also has a cigar saloon and bar serving a variety of rums. Situated right by Skrea Beach, Ocean Hotel offers free WiFi and sauna access. All rooms at Ocean Hotel include a minibar, an electric kettle and a flat tv-screen. Our room was at the ground floor with direct Access to the beach. Fantastic view and nice terrace. The room was well equipped. Good internet Access and even cromcast!

Fantastic position right on the coast with great views from our room (we paid extra for a sea view). Modern, clean and comfortable room had a huge bath in a separate room. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Good walks along the coast direct from the hotel.
