Had a really thoughtful conversation with the owner about the history of the area, who was able to share perspectives of Slovenians who stayed in the region after WWII. (My family emigrated from a neighboring town to the US after the war) After visiting this gorgeous place, it was easy to see why my grandfather missed his homeland so much.

Truly exceeded my expectations - spacious room, very kind and helpful stuff, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food were just amazing. Option to stay in the spa after checking out is very nice and makes the whole experience unforgettable. I wish prosperity to the hotel and to each person who works there.

They helped me with a million questions, were so kind and welcoming every time I stopped by, and we're just overall some of the best, most welcoming hotel staff I've ever interacted with! The hotel itself has lovely old charm and is ornate and gorgeous, but the rooms are still modern and updated. I was in a room by the elevator but didn't even notice the noise. I had a delightful view onto the courtyard. The spa and wellness area is fantastic with many different options, both for pools and for services. I was able to book 2 services at the last minute, and they were lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. A great buffet with a variety of selections. I was just sad I'm not very hungry in the mornings so I couldn't eat more.

This was my second visit and always delighted and relieved, as a single traveller, to be somewhere so safe and comfortable. The staff are really helpful and relaxed and accomodation clean, well laid out and super comfortable. Also a good, quiet night's sleep. I had supper which was finger licking good! The small town is really tidy and everyone very cheerful and polite. A few places to choose from for a meal, a drink or just a coffee.
