Very beautiful place, room is spacious with hotspring bath in the bathroom, staff is friendly as well. There are 2 big open-air private hotspring baths and a foot-bath on the rooftop, there is a free-flow of beer distributor at the lobby. The ryokan is just right opposite the old town, and within a kilometer walk to restaurants in the main street, it's very convenient, we love it!

Tojistay was really great!The main advantage is the best hosts I have met around Japan,Miho and her son!!they were so hospitable,friendly and keen to socialise with their visitors always with politeness and smile! We had an exceptional experience at AMANE resort GAHAMA , and I can’t praise this hotel enough. From the moment we drove in, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff, making us feel right at home. The hotel’s design feels like stepping into a historical museum, with beautiful, sophisticated interiors that create a unique atmosphere. We stayed in one of the Gaham Tower rooms, featuring a stunning view of the sea, an onsen, a jacuzzi, and even a traditional tea room. Although we missed the sunrise view due to cloudy weather, I can only imagine how spectacular it must be. The hotel is well-suited for international guests, with many staff members speaking multiple languages. The location offers convenient parking and superb dining options, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Truly, everything was fabulous. One of the most memorable moments was the surprise the staff prepared for our anniversary. I had briefly mentioned our celebration when requesting a specific table for dinner, and they went above and beyond to make it special. We received a beautifully crafted artwork by a local Kitsuki artist as an anniversary gift. This thoughtful gesture made us feel incredibly appreciated, and it added a personal touch to our stay. We’ll definitely be returning in a heartbeat. AMANE resort GAHAMA exceeded every expectation, and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

It’s a traditional Ryokan with family history in their 4th generation! We were very lucky as we got there early and were offered the big room upstairs for a little extra money and it was our best decision as the room was just spectacular! Breakfast is also highly recommended as it is a traditional Japanese breakfast, nicely prepared and served in a tatami style room. The Ryokan also counts with one of the most beautiful private outdoor Onsen in a nice garden that we have seen in all of Beppu. The owner Rumi and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay at this Ryokan and we will for sure come back again!
