The hotel seemed too expensive compared to where we usually stay in other countries. We knew that Japan was expensive , and there was not much else available in that period. The good surprises were that food and drinks, including wine and cocktails, were available without limits. The Onsen was also free (except the private bath which we tried, and did not add much value). The hotel has a free shuttle that picks you up at the station and is located right next to the funicular. There is also a tourist bus stop next to the hotel. Although Mount Fuji is not visible from the hotel, the rooms have large windows with a fantastic view of the Kawaguchiko lake.

The hotel is excellent. Located on Lake Kawaguchiko. Traditional experience with an onsen and traditional tatami mat rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a free shuttle to take you from the hotel to Kawaguchiko Station.

The staff was very accommondating and provided free pick up from the station. Upon arrival, they showed us to our room, which was clean and had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. During the dinner, the staff made futon beds for us, which my family all loved to sleep on. The dinner and breakfast we served were fantactic in taste and appearance. The staff even introduced the food to us before we started.

The room, the food, the scenery… we loved it all! The mountain and lake views from our top-floor room were divine, and the room itself was inviting and exceedingly comfortable. The staff here is welcoming, courteous and attentive, and the kaiseki dinner was exquisite (as was the breakfast). A trip highlight for sure, and we heartily recommend this property to anyone looking for a truly memorable ryokan experience.
