A short stay at this Ryokan was exceptional! We booked for one day and were greeted with many friendly staff members. They were very helpful in giving us directions and tour of our open bath room. We went during a slower day so was able to experience the public bath to ourselves. Our own private bath was also very comfortable and relaxing. On top of this, you must experience the traditional breakfast and dinner menu, the food was unique and quite filling! Lastly, although the location is farther from the train station, they offer free shuttles, highly recommend!

This property is exceptional. It is very refined and serenes but also welcoming. Staff are kind and friendly, always happy to help or explain something or answer questions. This was our first stay in a onsen/ryokan like this and we were very comfortable. Both meals were amazing, but dinner was especially amazing and I found several new favorite foods. The private bath (I have tattoos) was phenomenal, I went after dinner and it relaxed and refreshed me so well I had zero problem falling asleep. 100% will stay here again, highly recommend.

A marvelous Oasis in a scenic corner of Kyoto. I first saw the hotel as I was cycling around Kyoto, and modified my trip so that I could spend my last night near Kyoto here. Large western style room, but wonderful Zen like grounds and public spaces. I used the courtyard as a very quiet place to pack my bicycle in my bag for my next phase of travel. The river and it's scenic hills are right next door, as are various temples and some really nice restaurants.

Conveniently located in central Kyoto, Ryokan KANADE offers a Japanese-style garden.

The location was quiet and out of town, but not too far away. The matts and bedding were very comfortable. The rooftop bath was fun. The room was big. There is a good coffee shop close by.

Featuring an on-site public hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant, Yuno Yado Shoei is located an 8-minute walk away from JR Tambaguchi Station.

The guest house really has Japanese flair, the onsen is really nice, the location is quiet but central.

Friendly, attentive, helpful and responsive staff, it helps that most of them speak English; the rooms were big; the cypress wood bathtub was a delightful highlight of our stay; the view outside North building of the guesthouse as seen in the photo attached was lovely.

The room is big, clean and cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful. They all speak English fluently. The breakfast is pretty good. My family and I really enjoyed our stay.
