I loved absolutely everything. The room was kept nicely with a view of the slopes. As a vegan, I'm not used to being accommodated, let alone the delicious feast that I got for breakfast and night. Do yourselves a favour and book food as well as board - they take such care with these meals and they're delicious. The staff were lovely and kind, and were happy to chat to me - I don't know if they speak English though.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kawatatsu. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. There's also free breakfast. They have an onsen in their bath which was quite nice. Location is good as well, walking distance from the main area. Absolute value for money.

Loved the traditional Japanese room, and the Japanese breakfasts were fantastic. I stayed in the Japanese-Style Quadruple Room with Private Bathroom, which was very luxurious as a solo traveller. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

Best place I stayed during a three week trip all over Japan. Big family runs it and every detail is amazing. You’re treated like part of the family. The food is exceptional, it’s close to the slopes, the room is comfy, there’s an onsen on site. Just so good, everything.
