The property is very close to the main tourist attractions and the main bus terminal Kannawa - if you take bus 5 or 7, it would take about 15 minutes to/from Beppu station . We opted for the half board and we loved the meals provided by the ryokan. The hot spring options were good. Love the water temperature. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to stay close to the main tourist attractions.

I’ve stayed in countless hotels around Japan but Bettei Haruki is my favorite. The staff’s hospitality exceeded my expectations especially Yuki, he was a good host. The kaseki course dinner was such a good experience. I especially enjoyed the wagyu shabu shabu. The onsens were also amazing, I loved how they were private and the ambiance was just great! I will definitely come back!

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa.

Really Love this place. Comfortable room with private onsen and very helpful staff. Free car parking as requested. Location is great, located near various Jigoku within walking distance. Nice place to stay in Beppu.

The staff are INCREDIBLE at Amane Resort - especially: Victor Aguillar-Perez, Raisa Phuyal and Krishna, but many, many others as well whose names we did not ask for, very much including the lovely cleaning lady!!

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath.

i like this hotel. the room is awesome & comfortable. staff is polite & helpful. the reason that i booked this hotel is because of the in room onsen, and it really impressed me & i would hope to visit again!!! we drive ourselves, the road to the hotel is abit small & difficult to find, a bit far from the town but not a issue for us as we are driving on our own. so everything for me is good 😊😊

It’s a traditional Ryokan with family history in their 4th generation! We were very lucky as we got there early and were offered the big room upstairs for a little extra money and it was our best decision as the room was just spectacular! Breakfast is also highly recommended as it is a traditional Japanese breakfast, nicely prepared and served in a tatami style room. The Ryokan also counts with one of the most beautiful private outdoor Onsen in a nice garden that we have seen in all of Beppu. The owner Rumi and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay at this Ryokan and we will for sure come back again!
