Japanese-style rooms feature a tatami (woven mat) floor and shoji sliding paper screens. Some rooms offer tranquil views of the Seto Inland Sea. They are fitted with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and traditional futon beds. An en suite bathroom and yukata robes are provided. The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.

Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. We were delighted by our room and the whole ryokan. It had real authentic Japanese feel to it. The view from the room was magnificent, we were looking right at the torii gate. The dinner course was superb and very diverse. We aslo enjoyed the private onsen.

Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Staying at Kikunoya met and exceeded our expectations. Shokinkan is a truly magical place operated by incredible people. Nestled in a gorgeous, ancient temple complex, the grounds are extremely fun to hike/explore during the day, with plenty of opportunities to learn about the history of the place through thoughtful signage and the wonderful staff. The food was absolutely delicious - we were eating a feast of unique foods specially prepared for us every evening and morning, which made the experience epic. Okami-san and everyone else here gregariously welcomed us with cups of beautiful matcha, and even shuttled us to and from Yasugi station and to the Adachi Museum of Art. I will never forget this place!

All units in the ryokan are equipped with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. everything was perfect, it was full experience. We loved the possibility to go out in our yukatas, there were outdoor traditional shoes provided and special socks in the room. The dinner felt like Michelin star restaurant and staff prepared our futons while we were eating. The view from the rooftop was the best and free snacks and drinks were provided. Ryokan hot bath is also very well maintained. Personnel was increadibly nice and helpful all the time. I would totally come back again!

Thank you for a beautiful stay here. There are only a few rooms, which makes it super private and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are spacious and super clean and comfortable. They even provide free coffee in the lobby. Location is superb, just 3min walking from the ferry port (but still super quiet and peaceful)
