Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Only some rooms include a balcony, tatami floors, and free toiletries. The greatest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect- it's near the bus stop and pretty close to Open-Air Museum. I also loved the onsen, both of them were clean and nice. The common area is cool and everything you need is there. I absolutely recommend it!

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms. Location just next to Gora Station which is excellent and easy. Clean and comfortable- we stayed in dorm for one night and it still was very convenient, quiet and we could use an onsen.

Offering a shared lounge and inner courtyard view, Ito Ryokan is set in Tokyo, 200 metres from Revival Monument of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine and 200 metres from Amazake Yokocho Shopping Street. This 2-star ryokan offers full-day security and luggage storage space. The accommodation offers a concierge service and a housekeeping service for guests.

Popular points of interest near Ito Ryokan include Genyadana Monument, Sankatsu Yukata Museum and Koamicho Children's Park. Tokyo Haneda Airport is 20 km from the property. The reviews didn't lie. It was really a great experience to stay in traditional Japanese guest house. My fiancee was also lucky to be able to try on a traditional wedding dress as the lady got known we were on our pre-honeymoon. Althogh I was a bit sceptical about the location, my worries went away as there like 3 metro lines nearby and a lot of food options of course. Just take into account that bathrooms are shared in such guest house and you really sleep on tatami/futon. Go for it. We also enjoyed a traditional Japanese kaiseki breakfast which myself enjoyed a lot.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site.

At the ryokan, all rooms include a flat-screen TV, fridge and wardrobe. Certain rooms feature in-room hot spring bath, while some rooms offer a kitchen with a microwave. This was such a good value! The staff were so nice and went above and beyond. After check in we were given our choice of a free drink from the fridge. It’s just a short 10 minute walk from the Yubatake area. The hotel also has 3 private onsen that you are available to use all throughout the night and until checkout. They allow for free parking before and after checkout. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. Yukata were provided to wear. Inside the room was a super famicom game console that had so many fun retro games. We had the Japanese style breakfast and everything was fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access.

Guest rooms offer both air-conditioning and heating facilities. Each room is equipped with a fridge, an electric kettle and a flat-screen TV. The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a bathtub. Melinda was the hostess who took care of us for the 2 nights. She was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain each dishes to us at dinner and breakfast. The same can be said of all the staff. The Kaseiki dinner and breakfast were exceptional, especially the quality of the sashimi. We stayed 2 nights and the menus are different on both days. Our traditional room is very clean, on the 5th floor with view of trees and river below. The outdoor onsen was small but very clean, with the same beautiful trees and river views. I was pretty much the only peson at the outdoor onsen in the evening, so quiet and relaxing with sound of the river . We also booked the private onsens for 2 days and they were also clean with modern aesthetic vibes.
