From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were very flexible with arrivaltime. They went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs, showing exceptional care and effort. Their kindness and high level of service made our stay special - thanks! The onsens were a highlight—especially the outdoor ones. The variety of both private and shared baths allowed us to enjoy peaceful, relaxing moments in beautiful surroundings. As it's a smaller ryokan, the atmosphere was intimate and personal, which made our experience more unique. We stayed for two nights, and the ryokan surprised us with two different dining experiences in two separate rooms. It was a fun and memorable touch—and the food was excellent on both nights, beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Ryokan Yamanoyu and would love to return one day. Thank you for making our stay so special!

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, our waitress for our dinner was very fun to converse with, along with everyone else we spoke with. The dinner was very well made, the facilities were beautiful, and our rooms were everything we could’ve asked for. The location is also excellent in the middle of everything, allowing for an easy walk around Kurokawa.

The food was amazing - traditional Japanese style but on a fancy side. The place had everything needed there. There was hot water all the time, room had private toilet and sink. We loved kotatsu, as the day was cold and it was pleasant to sit around it and get warm. All the staff were amazing, very helpful, very polite and professional. The onsen was also great, it is simple onsen and there are 4 private rooms to choose from. Water was just perfect.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan beschikt over 5 warmwaterbronnen, waaronder een 30 meter lang grotbad. The staff was extremely helpful, parking our car for us and helping us navigate. The cave onsen was stunning, as the cave was much larger than I expected and very interesting, and the water was very relaxing. The food was also incredible!

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. The stay in the Kurokawa Onsen exceeded our expectations. We spent amazing 18 hours in the onsen. We had specious room with private onsen. We could also use the other onsens in the resort privately. Dinner was served in a private room. The serving, taste, presentation was of the level of Michelin restaurant. The staff pays attention of every detail. Definitely worth recommendation. We loved it!

Hotel Yumeshizuku ligt in Minami Aso in de regio Kumamoto, op 10 km van Naka-dake. Het beschikt over een warmwaterbron en een sauna. Zeer ruime en comfortabele suite. Mooie locatie van hotel met fantastisch uitzicht. Personeel allemaal zeer vriendelijk en aantal medewerkers die goed Engels spreken. Uitgebreid lekker diner en ontbijt. Prive binnen en buiten onsen bij de kamer waren mooi.
