The small public bath was also a delightful addition that we enjoyed.

A perfect place to experience traditional Japanese hospitality — would definitely stay again!

The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 20 km from Zenkoji Temple. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. It was our best night in our trip in Japan: Maki, the owner, is the most kind and gentle host I've ever met. The inn is lovely, comfortable, with a lot of space: being the only group for each night is an incredible experience. The inn is near to the start of the walk of Togakuchi's shrines You will experience a very good onsen and, most importantly, a Michelin-restaurant level dinner cooked by Maki's mother. It has been an incredible night and I cannot recommend this place enough.

We were really taken aback by how sumptuous the spread for both dinner and breakfast was. Loved that they used as much of the regional produce in their meals. The three private onsens were great - good and organized system and the space was kept very clean. Staff were really pleasant and great! They also provided complimentary access to the public next door which was a nice touch to the overall experience.
