All units come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with streaming services and a private bathroom with slippers, walk-in shower, hot tub and bidet. Every unit includes a coffee machine, while selected rooms come with a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, a stovetop and kitchenware. At the ryokan, each unit has bed linen and towels. I loved our stay here, the small house was amazing and everything was super clean. The garden is spectacular just like in the photos. I booked with halfpension and both the Japanese breakfast and dinner (hotpot and BBQ) were delicious. The location is far from the center of Osaka, but we came for Mt. Koya which is easy to reach from the hotel with a paid shuttle service that was pretty cheap! There is also a free timed shuttle service to Izumi-chuo station though. I'd stay here if you want to relax, bike or hike!

The open-air hot-spring bath at Fudoguchikan is available 24 hours, and separate per gender. The ryokan also houses a lounge, a shop and drinks vending machines. A variety of yukata robes are available for rent, and free parking is on site. One of the most magical places I’ve stayed. Extraordinary onsen, service and walk through a primordial woods to the temple.

At the ryokan, units are fitted with a tatami and a flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom with bath in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the ryokan, the units have bed linen and towels. Nice and clean room, near Imazato Station. A quiet place to return after a long day.

Featuring a large Japanese garden and natural hot-spring baths, Nanten-En Ryokan offers traditional luxury in a beautiful natural setting. The air-conditioned rooms have tatami flooring and Japanese-style futon beds. They made special food for me as a vegetarian and pregnant! It was an amazing stay, everyone extremely helpful nd friendly. The Onsen was awesome!

Situated within 2.9 km of Kadoma City History Museum and 3.1 km of Panasonic Museum, RYOKAN優勝館Hotel features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Osaka. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. This is a fantastic place if you want to take some time to relax and take it slow, outside of the busy parts of Osaka. The best part our experience were the hosts, who were a lovely couple, very eager to help with anything, from restaurant recommendations to a lift to a train station. The second best part were the baths - it may seem weird at first that there are no bathrooms inside rooms (except for a sink), but that incentivises the use of the baths, which are for private use and were truly a highlight.

The hospitality was next-level—a true Japanese cultural experience. The drinks were authentic, and the traditional Japanese breakfast option was a great touch. Our host was incredibly friendly and made our stay perfect. The BBQ was worth every penny.

Located in Minoo, 10 km from Niiya Shrine and 11 km from Oohara Park, こもれびの宿 明徳庵 provides accommodation with free WiFi, a garden, river views, and access to a sauna and a hot tub. It is set 13 km from Aeon Mall Ibaraki and offers full-day security. The ryokan features family rooms. Our short stay at this hotel was simply magical and we absolutely will be coming back to stay again! We stayed for 2 nights in the Jitoku room in late November which timed perfectly with the peak autumn foliage for Minoh. Our room was beautiful and traditional, with stunning views of the Minoh river and the delicate japanese maples on all sides. The furnishings of our room (and the inn itself) are wonderful - accentuated by beautifully preserved wooden furniture, leadlight lamps and art that decorates the property. It really makes the inn feel like a warm home that you can return to after exploring Minoh for the day. The hosts were polite, dedicated and incredibly welcoming - especially with giving us recommendations for dinner and activities around Minoh (even having a pre-drawn map on hand to help with restaurants). They all spoke good English which was a great help given our very rudimentary Japanese skills. We opted for a Kaiseki Dinner at Otowa Sanso for one night, which in itself deserves its own review - but would highly recommend!! The kaiseki breakfasts prepared each morning by the staff were also delicious, and a highlight of the stay. Our hosts clearly put a lot of love and attention-to-detail into each dish - and we appreciated how they varied the meals day-to-day to ensure we got to sample new dishes each morning. The on-site onsens are the ultimate addition that makes the stay feel super luxurious - there is a small and large bath that can be used freely by guests, which were perfect for the cool autumn nights. One thing to note is the road to the inn was closed to taxis in November when we went due to 紅葉狩り tourism, but the walk was very manageable with our luggage and was about 15-20minutes from Minoh Train Station. Overall, we were incredibly happy with our stay and (hopefully) will be returning many more times in the future!

The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. The service and amenities were superb. Everything was well thought of . We like that they considered every detail of their guests needs. It’s a unique experience for guests. The private onsen experience was wonderful… again everything we need was there and even more than what we need. We love everything and it made us want to come back again in Osaka and we will stay longer next time.

山荘 風の杜 Sanso Kazenomori has a public bath and air-conditioned guest accommodation in Minoo, 11 km from Oohara Park, 13 km from Ibaraki Shrine and 13 km from Aeon Mall Ibaraki. Offering free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 11 km from Niiya Shrine. The accommodation offers a lift, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. Property was beautiful--tucked away north of Osaka, it made a great stay for a night away from the city. I really loved the view from the mountain. Dinner and breakfast were both exceptional with plenty to eat. Open bar was a big plus as well!
