Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. It was an incredible stay, the place has a unique energy and the meditation, prayers and fire ceremony and the night tour of the cementery are very memorable. The food was one of the best we had in our trip - and it was vegan

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- is set in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Kii Fudoki No Oka Museum of Archaeology and Folklore. Offering free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 38 km from Kishi Station. Subaru Hall is 48 km away and Jigenin Temple is 49 km from the ryokan. My stay at this hotel in Koyasan, managed by monks, was an unforgettable experience. The monks' hospitality and guidance throughout our stay were exceptional. The private dining in a traditional Japanese setting was exquisite, and the onsen was a relaxing highlight. Participating in the morning prayer provided a unique spiritual connection. The monks' parting gift added a personal touch to our departure. If you seek a remarkable and culturally rich stay in Koyasan, I highly recommend this hotel.

Hope to be back some day!

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- is located in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Subaru Hall. Providing free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 38 km from Kishi Station. The ryokan features family rooms. The room was perfect for us as a couple. We opted for a room with bath and it has an automatic function that fills up the bathtub, in time for a relaxing soak. We can also take a bath anytime we want, as opposed to the rooms with shared baths. The room is also spacious and the monks/staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided detailed instructions on the stay, like for the morning prayer, they will knock and guide you to the prayer area/temple. The morning service was naturally in Japanese and we appreciate that there is an English translation and guide how to conduct oneself during the ceremony. Most importantly, the vegetarian dinner and breakfast were phenomenal. The best vegetarian meals we've had for a while. So definitely recommended! We would stay there again.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property, a terrace and rooms with a Japanese interior and Western beds. I love the design of the room which is very cozy and modern. The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.

All rooms at 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- are Japanese-style and feature tatami (woven-straw) floors. Traditional futon bedding, a TV, fan and heater are provided. Bathroom and toilet are shared with other guests. The spacious public baths feature a hot tub. On-site luggage storage is available. This place exceeded my expectations. I did not expect the room to be so nice, large, and have a wonderful table and seat space with a large window and small garden view. The place is just beautiful, and I was very appreciative that I could join in the morning ceremony. Truly a wonderful experience.
