It is situated in beautiful surroundings quiet but central to the village. It is very clean and well maintained and the studio is well equipped. The fresh croissants and bread in the morning were such a welcoming treat. Our hostess was very hospitable and attentive which made our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

The warmest hosts! Afaf and her husband cares for the smallest details (fully equipped kitchenette, essential cabinet items and event better, homemade jams from their beloved garden) of the lodge that makes it so welcoming, cozy and functional throughout our stay. Gorgeous house nicely situated in a dreamy location of Giverny. Everything comes as a full package and compliments our visit to Giverny. We came for the Claude Monet's house but little did we know is actually the lodge the make our visit so lovely and can't wait to visit it in different season to see the nature.

A charming village with good restaurants, bakery and cafes. The Museum was interesting and held beautiful artwork of Impressionists. Monet's garden and house were a treat to visit. Our timing was perfect - there was much in bloom and the weather was cooperative. There were hidden monuments - Monet's bust, the monument to him and his family. And the house was beautifully replicated.

This centre was lacking in the overall character of a village. The gardens were the focus. But there was very little opportunity to enjoy the village separate to the gardens as there were no shops to buy local cheese, yes there is a bakery but no partisse. It had character but no sole.

We loved the gardens and house although very busy. Glad we chose the earlier booking option as by the time we left it was mobbed. If we had longer we would have gone to the museum too, however, we were en route south and needed to get going. Giverny is quiet and beautiful. Completely walkable. Try to stay in town for the best experience, but note that there are only a few restaurants open after 6 p.m. We missed out on the combination ticket for Monet's Gardens and the Impressionist Museum, but both were worth the full price, so we didn't mind. There are a few lovely little shops as well, 2 which support the Monet Gardens. And a highlight for me personally was a sweet, older local man who offered me a fresh fig from his garden, and peeled it for me. Delightful!SuzanneCanada

Fresh orange juice, coffee jam and butter were also provided. The house the studio was attached to was beautiful and the gardens were lovely. The house was also very close to Monet’s garden and house, a 5 minute walk. The village of Giverny was idyllic. The owner also gave us some champagne on arrival which was very thoughtful. He speaks French and Italian, and a little English, but uses a translator device very effectively to get across the English language barrier. After checking with us, he booked us dinner on a Sunday night in Giverny, knowing reservations woukd be necessary and tight, and we were very happy with dinner. Our experience with this accommodation was great.

Breakfast all laid out ready, we just had to wander down to the bakery for the fresh stuff, baguette, croissants etc. Perfect. Christine, our host, was lovely given that it was almost midnight when we finally arrived from Dieppe.
