Perfect hotel. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Could not better the location opposite main railway station complete with Supermarkets and food outlets. I had a room at the rear which might have helped but given the location of the hotel amazingly there was no noise from inside or out. Couldn't fault!

We didn't like the look of the "spaceship "Museum, it was out of place with the Baroque architecture of the old town. Loved the old town. We were disappointed to find most restaurants closed the kitchen at 5 pm. As we were in mid-May we felt more should have been open. A couple of days is enough to cover most sights. It was great to see no Islamic minettes spoiling the old town cityscape,

We spent most of our time walking around the city.
We spent most of our time walking around the city. There are lovely buildings with intricate architecture in places. I would definitely recommend a walk in the Stadtpark. I recommend the climb up to Schlossberg, the view is lovely!
We had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Sclossberg, apart from the food , the view is spectacular.
Another place with even better food is Ginko, where I had the best food in a very long time. It serves vegan and vegetarian food, but I would imagine that everybody will like the delicious food on offer.

Graz is nice, probably a day is enough in the off-season but I expect you'd need 2 days when it's summer time and busier because of queues etc. Buy a 24 or 48 hour pass for Museums is worth the expense.

Ideal for you if you like historic towns with lots of...
Ideal for you if you like historic towns with lots of landmarks, local food, some interesting shops, museums, a castle hill with a view. Our fave places were the old quarters, the old department store interior, and the view from its top cafe, the cathedral (heard practising for organ concert!!), beautiful bookshop Morawa with cafe on top, Castle hill...
If walking gets too much, use the funicular to get on castle hill and 24h bus/tram ticket to take you anywhere within city. We tasted Austrian food in Franziskaner Quarter (my fave part), vegetarian food in a more modern cafe and finally we ate at a Greek place (good value for money 20 euros per person).
We would avoid visiting in very cold or very hot weather.
The hotel has a nice garage, the lobby is spacious and the room was very big for a hotel room (around 40m2), and clean, with a Nespresso machine inside which is really nice. The beds were big and confortable. The breakfast was good, but the coffee as in many austrian hotel is better to skip. The hotel is in the vicinity of a market with a couple of grocery stores in vicinity. The pedestrian zone (Mariahilfer strasse) starts nearby and will take you to the famous Kunstmuseum.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our requests with smiling faces and even gave us a free room upgrade that made our stay in Graz one of our best experiences in Austria. The location was great, walking distance to all the attractions in the city, we did not use public transport or taxi at all. The coffee served downstairs is also great!
We really recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to visit Graz.
The hotel is located very close to the main train station which is extremely convenient as we arrived by train. The room was a good size and it was great to see tea making facilities as this is rare in Austrian hotels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice old but classy feel to it with lots of wood, marble floors and ornate ceilings.
Nice free parking.
Very good internet.
Kind staff.
Clean and modern rooms.
We actually had a mini-fridge in our room, although it was not mentioned on booking.com.
Good location, there is a tram route right in front of the hotel and it is a 30 minute walk to the center. A Bila supermarket also very close to the hotel.
Toiletries, clean towels and laundry.
Amazing apartment, had everything that we needed. Everything was clean and cozy, staff was very kind and helping. Location is great, you're in the city centre within 15 minutes of walking, and you also have a parking spot for your car in the hotel. All in all, we had a great time!
Gratz is a beautiful city and the part where the hotel is situated is really nice. We stayed in Haus Sonne and its garden is like from some kind of movie - very romantic :) Our room had a nice enterance to the garden and we could use a table for breakfast outside. I loved it :)
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Friendly staff, great breakfast and accommodations. The terrace was absolutely lovely. Forgot to try out the sauna but it's nice it was available. Great location too. Walking distance to a lot of cool places. 1000% recommend this place.
Great location - 10 mins (max to the Hauptbahnhof, similar time to the Hauptplatz, and there's a lovely Stubl opposite for authentic Austrian food. The hotel is much nicer than expected - really well appointed, smart, modern rooms, super clean and a great breakfast spread.
Great location walking distance to everything, very beautiful hotel, the staff were amazing very helpful and friendly. Also there is a large parking lot across the street which gave us a big discount because we were staying at the hotel.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel. It is renovated, comfortable and clean. I had a request for the staff and they were extremely helpful. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious with a big variety.
Nice and well-equipped hotel directly in the city centre.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
They offer excellent breakfast.
The staff is very accommodating.
Self check-in, huge room with private bathroom and kichenette (like a studio flat), excellent wifi, free coffee, parking, close to motorway (A2 Austria).
