Wooler has a coop and budgens which were handy for shopping.
Wooler has a coop and budgens which were handy for shopping. However no takeaway food nearby and at least 10 miles from the coast. However if you don't mind that it is a great place to stay and only 10 miles from the Scottish Borders.

Wooler is nice little town, it has its own whiskey and gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. There is a lovely Italian restaurant named Milan and a couple of pubs which also serve food. I believe there is also another restaurant which will be opened later this year too.
There are lots of lovely walks and other villages and towns close by, although you do need a car to get around.

Wooler is a quaint, small village/town with beautiful surroundings. I would recommend if you like walking, there were lots of walks from or near Wooler that look lovely, we went on one at Ingram up the valley there which was delightful.
Wooler is also well-situated for travelling to other places in Northumberland such as Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Seahouses, and Alnwick, all around a 30-40 minute drive away.
We really enjoyed Milan Restaurant which had a wide selection of tasty food. We also enjoyed The Black Bull Inn for a couple of pints and games of pool in the evenings.

We visited to attend a Vinduro event in Lilburn.
We visited to attend a Vinduro event in Lilburn. We go to Wooler a lot. It's a lovely little town. Great gift shops and the charity shops had some brilliant finds in. The Angel pub is really good. Great atmosphere especially on bingo night. Cafes and takeaways good. Its a shame they shut so early though. The Milan restaurant is exceptionally good.
The location was ideal for the Northumberland area, Wooler is a nice town with all the required shops and a walk to Budgens,
The property has a well equipped kitchen, off road parking, garden space, comfy sofas lots of original fittings/beams etc, good Smart TV, DVD (although we couldn't get it to work!), log burner
Everything. This place is consistently great which is why we keep returning again and again. Stephanie has everything running to perfection. The location is brilliant for walking in the area. The accomodation itself has everything on the doorstep. Restaurant, pubs, breakfast cafe and the shops in the main street.
A superb B&B in a great location. Only 20 minutes walk along a country road into the town of Wooler where there are pubs restauraunts and take aways to suit all tastes. The Hemmel is a lovely quiet location run by Steve and Maddie who offered an exceptiional service including a fantastic breakfast.
Large, spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom in a quiet and beautiful historic building. Delightful hosts and the best breakfast you could possibly imagine, all served on immaculate linen tablecloths. Only a 5 min walk to downtown Wooler where there’s a well stocked co-op. Highly recommend!
It was clean, fresh, comfortable and had just about all the things you’d want in a home from home. 😀 It’s also easy access to Wooler town, quite central and convenient for exploring north and east Northumberland as well as not too far/long to drive up to Scotland/Edinburgh too.
We stayed overnight at the hotel. We had dinner there. The menus choice was good and the quality was great (better than we expected). It's in the village of Wooler which provided a lovely evening walk after dinner. I would recommend it for the food alone.
It was a perfect place to stay for two nights. Everything was nice and comfy. Coffee and tea makings were provided. The view looking over the garden and down across the hill was beautiful. It was just a few minutes walk into the heart of Wooler.
Well equipped hut with a beautiful view out the front door. Extremely private even though on owner's property. I wouldn't call it the Humble Hut, I'd call it magnificent!. Lovely outside seating areas provided as well. All comfortable and cozy!
The location was perfect as it was in the pretty village of Wooler.
The cottage was self catering and breakfast, lunch and evening meal were available at The Tankerville Arms next door. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a lovely garden. The staff were very nice. I had an evening meal which was nice. The breakfast was good, I had the full English and I could have had toast and cereal if I wanted.
Lovely cottage. Spacious & homely. Yummy biscuits, tea & coffee provided on arrival. Instructions on how to use everything included around the house, and a wealth of information on the local area provided.
The accommodation is excellent and great value for money, set in a quiet location, in the centre of Wooler. It is also, literally next door to a highly recommended Italian restaurant (The Milan).
