Excellent hotel, with very good taste in decoration and comfortable rooms in the heart of Paleochora. The location is great, just one step away from the restaurants and bars, but at the same time calm and quiet. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, the bathroom very comfortable and clean. The communication with the properly was excellent and smooth, they are very kind and helpful with everything. We loved our stay and we would absolutely come back!

It’s position - central, easy to park close to excellent restaurants. We were very pleased to have a fridge in the room. Helpful friendly owner who was also an excellent cook. Breakfast was excellent - with home made pastries.

Location was excellent and staff very accommodating
I love Palaiochora - have visited several times. There is a very long sandy beach on the west side of the village - the sunbeds and umbrellas do not dominate the beach due to its size. There is a nudist area at the northern end but, sadly, it looks like the cantina there is not open this year. There is also a beach on the east side but it is stony and not to my liking. In the evening a couple of streets are closed off to traffic (but not to kids cycling at top speed through the pedestrians grrr) and the roads are occupied with tables and chairs for the various bars and cafes. There are many places to eat in the village and a wide selection of menus available. Agios bar is one to visit - definitely. If staying for more than a few days a ferry trip (40 minutes or so) to Sougia is worth trying. Gialiskari is another nice beach along the coast - about an hour's walk or 15 minutes by car.

If you are looking for a small laid back beach town in Crete, this is a greatchoice. Many of the more full service touristy options are on the north side of the island, Palaiochora is on the south. You can drive from Palaichora to Chania in less than 1.5 hours : drive to Heraklion is closer to 3.5 hours.
Plenty of beaches, good food, good people. Not really a party crowd, at least when we were there at the end of the season. There are many options for boat trips, hiking and outdoor activities. Ebikes and similar are easy to rent.

Lovely relaxed seaside town - really chill atmosphere in the evenings with lots of restaurants along the sea front and in main and back streets serving great food and generous extras (bread, olives, small desserts and raki).
We enjoyed a good balance of some hiking (Aghia Irina Gorge was lovely and very quiet), hiring a car to explore the area and a couple of days of swimming, snorkelling and reading on the beach.
I expect Paleochora is heaving n high season, but in Kate September was wonderfully laid back - a few days here and a few in Chania& Rethymno was a really nice balance.
I would stay right in the town next time - lots of small studios advertised along the road from town to harbour looked nice, quiet and close to everything

Palauochora is lovely low key resort with great food and beaches. We really like the vibe of the town which is authentic and friendly. Highly recommended for 3-4 days or longer. Really like the fact that it can be easily accessed by a very efficient bus and ferry service. We’ll definitely be back

Pretty little town with a chilled vibe but still has some action. Excellent cocktail bar in the middle of town. Amazing sunrises on one side and the most stunning sunsets on the other side.
Sandy beaches for those who like that but rocky beaches on the ither side that offer great snorkelling opportunities.
We are thrilled to have discovered this beautiful little hotel and are already planning to stay here for our visit next year. The location is perfect, right in the heart of town but still quiet, just a quick walk to the beach.
This property is brand new and absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, artfully decorated and well thought out. The king size beds are plush and comfortable and the huge showers are a real luxury.
The host, Sovula, is a real gem! She made us feel so welcome and had great suggestions for dining and activities.
Comfortable room, with good storage, kitchenette and shower room. Maria, our host, was very friendly and welcoming, she clearly took pride in her rooms and made sure our room was spotlessly clean and attractive and was happy to help in any way she could. She also left a welcome gift of drinks and delicious biscuits.
The location was great, straight across the road to the sandy beach and close to a selection of restaurants, bars and shops.
It’s an absolute bargain and worth more.
This place has special vibes… if you need restart your mind, power - it is very good place. For living there are good comfortable room that includes small kitchen with everything, big balcony, nice view, nice mattress for sleeping. The villa for 5 minutes from Palaiochora by car. Perfect sand beach 3 min walk.
The house was beautiful and clean, safe and there were great restaurants within walking distance. The beach was in 3' minutes walkimg distance. The hospitality we received was wonderful. It was even better than expected. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Aggeliki & Argyris 🌸
The location of this property is great, sea view, close to any shops one might need, close to the beach.
The host were nice, accommodating and available if we needed anything.
Overall it was a nice stay but mainly because of the village we were in, Palaiochora is beautiful!
Very nice location within walking distance to the beach, Bakery and supermarket. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful with an introduction to the village and tips on what we could do. The rooms where very clean and they were cleaned daily.
Everything was perfect, the room had everything we needed and was very clean, the staff was nice and communication was clear. It's very close to a small beach and a 5 minutes walk to the bigger one.
We will definitely come again !
Relaxed in the area and the hotel itself after the mad couple of days on the north side of the Crete. The room and location are superb, with great stuff, food and surrounding. Highly recommended
This property has everything you need and the staff is extra helpful and nice. We stayed in the new building and it was wonderful. Great location with the beach right across the street.
Comfortable, modern, clean, well equipped apartment right at the beginning of the beach. All is accessible on foot. A great base for exploring southwest Crete. Worth coming back for.
In a central but quiet location; two minutes to the beach and all other facilities and the shops and tavernas of Palaiochora. Large, spacious apartment with a very comfortable bed.
The location is perfect, clean, modern, comfortable and with an amazing view. The staff is super, Maria gave us the right advices for eating and best beaches to visit.
Excellent location and price. Very friendly staff. Private beach. Very quiet and close to the center, no need to drive there. Would definitely visit again.
