Protaras is amazing for beautiful beaches, some sandy and some pebbles. Stunning views and coastal walk. Lots of restaurants by the harbour. Not overly busy in May and possibility to do a few excursions on land and sea/mountains. You're 2h ISH from Paphos which may have more nightlife if that's what you're after.

I went to Protaras for work. I didn't like it.
I went to Protaras for work. I didn't like it. It is touristic and of poor quality in general. You don't feel like you are in Cyprus; it's just a resort. Many waiters and assistants in restaurants and stores are foreigners, and they don't speak a word of Greek!

This a very touristic place.
This a very touristic place. I was there 2 times, both in low season. In November the town is almost dead - no tourists, so, it is difficult to find a place to eat, but if you know where, it is a nice time to visit. The prices goes lower, beautiful beaches, nice hotels with spa. Highly recommend to visit in October-November.

An area that seems more British than Greek and sadly mostly closed up at the beginning of November apart from the pubs. The beaches are good with great swimming and snorkelling but extremely busy. Restaurants were generally disappointing although search hard and there are a few hidden taverns and coffee shops. Most buildings are concrete (not stone as in the villages, new build type), roads and transport links are good.

Great place for families or 30+ people.
Great place for families or 30+ people. It has plenty of good bars and restaurants but no under 30 craziness. You can get a drink at 2am but without any idiots. Never saw a drunk or out of control group in my 4 weeks there. If you want crazy go to Ayia Napa.
You want fun, friendly, beaches and a good evening life, go to Protaras.

Fantastic place, lots of bars, restaurants, good food,...
Fantastic place, lots of bars, restaurants, good food, lively bars and some slightly quieter. Sports on at some of the bars for football etc. Some tribute acts (although not my thing) Elvis, Cher, Meatloaf etc etc etc.
Jokers square had a live band on most nights playing rock music, great bar, great food also and a friendly welcome.
Cheers bar brilliant for drinks and breakfasts, owner very friendly and great staff, inside area (you'll need it during the hot days) and an outside area for evening with live entertainments on some times.
Lots of other bars we enjoyed but cannot remember the names sorry.
There is a small bar on the beach that serves drinks in real melon and pineapple shells called the rising beach bar which is brilliant for a drink after a day at the beach.
Also a place called Zorbas which does great food and drinks, well worth a visit (near Fig Tree Bay-ish)
The whole area from end-to-end is about 1 mile walk (maybe less) so no need for transport really, however taxis are very expensive if you need to use them (sore knee so we used them a few times) circa 10 euros for what was about a 1 mile journey!
You can jump on a bus to Ayia Napa if that's your thing, I don't know how much though, but they are quite frequent.
We loved the place, but we have been 7 times!!
We stayed in Maouris appartments from 12 till 23July! When you come ,first of all you are charmed by hospitality of Yiotis and Andri! From the first minute you feel like home! The pool is very nice and clean and the rooms, too! Mr .Maouris is very careful when the children are swimming! You are very close to the Fig tree beach,to the shops and to the main road! If you have some questions or need some information about Protaras everything is sold in no time!
Thank you Yiotis from all of us (Inga,Mariam,Haik and Van!)Love Cyprus!😍
This is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at - lovely staff, immaculately clean, great pool and unbelievable value for money. There's nothing flash about it but who cares, it's comfortable with a lovely vibe and run by a wonderful family 👏🏻
I stayed here 3 years ago and had a great time but this was even better, helping me have the best holiday I can remember 👌🏻
Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Cyprus - will be returning here next year as soon as flights are released 😃
Access to the beach and in fact the rest of Protaras was great. Also close to Ayia Napa, which fit for our family. The view is unbelievable and nothing can beat the cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning or the sun-downer in the evening. The apartment itself looks bigger on the pictures than it is, but you really spend very little time indoors. Having so many TV channels sorted out late night viewing. It would be very hard to near impossible to have a bad holiday in this apartment.
The location was great away from the hustle and bustle of Protaras and perfect for relaxation. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. Not a massive buffet but it was very good. The hotel staff are really wonderful, the love what they are doing and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The reception staff are also great and special thanks to Dimitra who welcomed us when we first arrived. Check out the Ginger restaurant, food and service are great. Definitely will visit again.
Breakfast is extraordinary. As a young Cypriot who has been in many hotels on the island i can say that the Grecian are probably one of the best hotel experiences someone can have in Cyprus. And hands down - it has the best hotel breakfast in the country. The room was excellent. Clean, good Air-condition, and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The beach is one of the best of Cyprus and the location is magnificent. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.
This is one of the best hotel I ever been. I liked almost everything. Room were amazing, most of the time I was siting on the balcony since see view is gorgeous. I liked room design, it was elegant and stylish, very comfortable, clean as well. Breakfast was very good, food generally was fresh and well prepared. Staff was polite and helpful. Hotel is near by Protaras, it would be fine to have car and visit places around.
Nice room, quiet, side sea view room showed more sea than expected. Food and drinks were ok for all inclusive, not great though. Entertainment and all the sports activities were fun, entertainment/sports lady was very nice, one of the bartenders was also very charismatic and made good drinks. There is a spot to swim in the sea just outside the hotel. All in all it was good value for the money.
Excellent location, right in the middle of protaras road with all the amendities around. Very clean in general. Comfortable rooms, friendly and attentive staff and various options for breakfast. Has a modern pool and a bar with some chill music making it a great option to spend the day there. Walking distance to Fig tree bay (5mins.) Also has a private parking. Well worth the money.
On arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar staff were great.
The room was vey clean and a good size, the water fall shower was lovely.
The food was nice, far better than other All Inclusive hotels in Cyprus.
The cocktails and bar snacks were great.
Breakfast was really good.
For the cost of this hotel it is brilliant and will definitely stay again.
The hotel is in a quiet area. A small older style 3-star hotel, very clean & very hot water in the bathroom. Good breakfast. Nice swimming pool. A pleasant sandy cove just a few minutes walk away. A bus service into Protaras is on the main road just a short walk away. We had an enjoyable 5-day break & would be happy to visit again.
The best and most varied hotel food I had so far (we had all inclusive). The rooms were big and comfortable. In the photos you can see a small beach in front, but I actually recommend a larger beach that’s about 100 m to the left, which is very child friendly. We really enjoyed our stat here.
The breakfast was amazing! The Italian restaurant located in the hotel had many choices on their menu, and was very tasty from the appetizers up to main course to desserts. The location was ideal as it was right outside Protaras, so going to either Ayia Napa or Protaras was very easy.
The beds are really comfortable
The pool is nice
The food and drink is nice and reasonably priced.
MAYA (if that's how it's spelt) was lovely me and My partner felt so comfortable there. Location is great.
Best hotel in Cyprus for the money. Would recommend to anyone.
The location is fantastic. It's directly opposite one of the best beaches in Cyprus and in between Protaras and Ayia Napa. Directly next door is a small supermarket with everything you need. We always stay here as it's great value for money and a perfect base.
Excellent Location. Beach front Hotel located on the best area of Protaras. The best beaches are in font/near of the Hotel.
The staff was polite and Helpful.
Decent Breakfast.
Very good size and clean Pool.
POOL BAR WITH VERY GOOD PRICES.
great location, the room was spacious, the people working at the hotel very kind and helpful, breakfast with wide variety of food, lunch and dinner very delicious with also a lot variety. drinks was well- crafted.
The location is the perfect one. You are in the heart of Protaras, everything is accessible on foot. Fig tree bay, Cyprus best and cleanest beach is located in front of the hotel. The location is just fascinating.
excellent location, access to the best beach on Cyprus, very helpful personnel they make yo feel very nice and like home, very good facilities and very good food and drinks and prices at the bar and restaurant
