Super clean facilities. Large dorm room. Corniglia is the most quiet of the towns in Cinqueterra, and the only one not accesible by boat. Additionally, there are A LOT of steps from the train station to town. However, the fact that it is at at a higher elevation means that hikes to the other towns will be easier 😉
This is a lovely little town. Be prepared if you plan to hike between towns. It's a challenge but worth it. The views are spectacular. If you're into walking some more steps down to the water in Corniglia, you will see a cute little restaurant on your left. Plan to have dinner there. It's peaceful and the atmosphere is gorgeous.

As the village is on the top of the cliffs it helps to have done some preparatory work to have stronger leg muscles and to have done some hills as the bus gets very crowded- no etiquette.
All the cafes and bars do good food Pan e vin did a fair priced Italian breakfast. The Bar below the Church had large Lattes if you need them and good choice of sharing boards.
Caffe Matteo looked after our group of 8 in the evening very well. Staff were great.
Once in the village you can navigate the narrow streets quite easily but they get very busy with day trippers. We enjoyed our trek to Manarola

While a little harder to access (steep stair climb or shuttle bus) than the other villages, the "isolation" means a little less mobbed by tourists - although still jam packed during the day. The central location means hiking the main trail can be done easily in either direction. Superb restaurants (and gelato...) on hand. Reserve and make the hike for lunch to Ittiturismo Corniglia Sp 4488 for a really special experience. And don't miss the two churches...

Smallest and quietest of the five villages.
Smallest and quietest of the five villages. But that makes it even better right? Good restaurants and places for snacks, good value accommodation, a little marina that is great for a swim and hiking options to Vernazza and Manorola.

A perfect place to explore in the middle of the Cinque Terre. It was quiet and peaceful.A small shuttle bus takes you from the centre to the train station in minutes.Plenty of places to eat and drink and if you want to cook your own food, there is a lovely shop to buy fresh fruit, veg, pasta, pesto etc! I would definitely return.

Corniglia was a small and beautiful village.
Corniglia was a small and beautiful village. Casa de Zefiro’s location and facilities made our stay there feel as though we were locals as I’d go down to shop each day - sometimes several times - and chatted with the locals. We were there the day the fishmonger came to town - Friday of course- and also the fresh pasta and cheese van - alternate Fridays. We walked one of the tracks to Vernazza and visited the other villages by boat and train and the crowds there made us so pleased to return to Corniglia.
I liked the location which was close to the train station, so very convenient to exploring the other villages. Corniglia is quite pleasant, but perched on a hill top, so if you stayed there you would have to wait for the shuttle bus which was often crowded. Breakfast was a BIG plus, it was delicious (with hot eggs and bacon and fresh fruit and toast and capucchino) and nice to come out of room and sit on an outdoor terrace for breakfast with a sea view! Roberto our host was very friendly, a bit of a character.
Amazing views, right in the centre of the main town of Corniglia, very, very close to the bus stop. All the amenities you could need and amazingly kind hosts!
Nadia, her brother Marco, and their mother were all so lovely. It was very hot when we arrived, so we were welcomed with an icey lemon drink the mother made ( with her own lemons)
They all were very informative, answered all our questions, and showed us everything we would need to use in the apartment. Very kind family.
Thank you for having us
Very nice rom/apartment with all you need to sleep, shower and make light meals. The room was rather dark but fortunately the weather was sunny so we could spend the time in the garden or right outside the room where there was furniture.
The apartment is perfect for visiting Cinque Terre, and Corniglia was the less turisted city of the 5, which we liked very much.
The owner was very kind and helpful with getting tickets to the park, train etc.
And our dog was very welcome aswell :-)
Once we got to meet Fabrizio everything ran smoothly. He is a nice man with good sense of humour who did his best in order that we would feel at home. The apartment is nice and, surprisingly enough for the frentic tourist activity in Corniglia, it is very quiet. We had dinner at the terrace every night and it was a pleasure to watch the view at sunset. If you come for a few days at Cinque Terre I recommend highly to stay in Corniglia and at Fabricio’s place.
The apartment was beautiful and cozy with a gorgeous view. It was very easy to get to and away from all the hustle and bustle of the people. The host was very responsive and extremely helpful by sending an information packet with the reservations. The apartment had everything you needed and more. The bed was extremely comfortable. So far this was one of our favorite 😍 ❤️ ♥️ 💕 💙 💖 stays in Italy. THANK YOU !
Very cute and cosy room with amazing balcony. Location is excellent, especially for the Cinque Terre hikes. The train station is many many stairs away but there is a shuttle that leaves you 3 mins easy walk from the room.
Alessandra and Lucca are very responsive and helpful with all the needed information.
I would definitely recommend this great accomodation.
Host was wonderful & helpful and hotel was very nicely decorated and comfortable with a beautiful view! Definitely need to take the bus, do not walk up the steps with luggage like we did. VERY hard to do. No conditioner in bathroom for showering. That was the case everywhere in Italy however. Great place to stay in Corniglia with a relaxing garden to enjoy.
The location, the views from the rooftop deck. They paid attention to detail. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the size of the room to the made to order breakfast! Beautiful place! They were even kind enough to drive us to the train station. I will definitely be coming back next time I travel to Italy.
Hostel is basic but it gives you all you need to enjoy your stay at Cinque Terre. I stayed in a private room, bed was comfortable, room was small but clean. Staff wasn't there most of the time but the guy who runs the place is available on the phone. Overall good value for money.
The host sent us a video showing exactly how to get to the property. Corniglia is a beautiful town, but a 1st timer can definitely get lost so the video was awesome to know exactly where to go as soon as we got there. The key is where they said it would be.
Corniglia is the smallest of 5 towns. Since it does not have a beach, it is less crowded than other towns. We liked the quietness of the town very much. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy nature more than the crowd.
We loved the view that is excpetionnal, the cleanliness, the facilities and the village it is located...Corniglia is definitley the hidden gem of Cinque Terre. I more than highly recommend the place.
I loved the location, the view, and the roomy bathroom. It's a very cute apartment, located perfectly near the train station, which makes it perfect for visiting the other 4 towns in Cinque Terre.
Great location in Cinque Terre. Right in the heart of the five towns. Host was very helpful and met us when we arrived. The apartment is very big with two balconies that have a beautiful view.
We absolutely loved staying here and view from our room was stunning. Corniglia is perfect for start exploring a Cinque Terre-we definitely recommend hike from Corniglia to Vernazza.
Room with sea view was lovely. The private patio with lounge chairs was a bonus! Comfortable bed and clean spaces. Highly enjoyed our stay here and in Corniglia. Host was very nice.
