A small, charming, clean town, with a lot of landscape variations. There's a castle, there's a large zoo in the forest up on the hill, there's a nice river, there's a dam, there's a large recreation complex called weekend, there's an old and a new rail station, and overall quiet and pleasant places to walk around. I recommend!

Pleasant city for walks.
Pleasant city for walks.
Went with the family at the end of april and the weather was gorgeous.
We saw:
- The zoo (6/10) - very big and lots of potential, but some animals were not kept well at all which made me very sad.
- The small othodox cathedral, Buna Vestire - very beautiful paintings(10/10)
- The big orthodox cathedral, Inaltarea Domnului - also beautiful (9/10)
- Târgu Mureș Fortress - free entry and very beautiful park inside, must see! (9/10) The local beer garden is a nice spot but the staff and serving were rude and ignored us, so I would avoid choosing that one and try a terase in the city center.
- The Palace of Culture - beautiful exterior but we found it closed
- Lots of museums to visit which looked appealing but were also closed due to bank holiday
- Bumbed into a local band free concert in the park (7/10)

The city is nice, the people are nice.
The city is nice, the people are nice. But mainly in the center. We found it to be less attractive than we expected. Pretty much all tourist attractions are grouped in the center.
There is a major lack of information regarding public transportation in the city and surroundings. Stops don’t have any posted names, hard to guess where are the stops except for the very central ones. Hard to find convenience stores.
People are willing to help but they are offering conflicting information.
In conclusion, the city/mayor gives the impression that they do not want/like tourists.
Restaurants we ate at were all fine. We had traditional local food, Italian, international at different places.
Hard to get around without own car, particularly for longer distances.
Very outdated and confusing/misleading information online.

I grew up here and haven't visited for two years and the general feeling I got was that it was a bit unkept. New cafes have opened with good coffee on offer. The city though feels clogged with cars and if I didn't have family to come to, I would not visit the it at all.

You can visit it for one or two days.
You can visit it for one or two days. There are some museums, yet they are under renovation and closed. The citadel is worth a visit, and you will find a doll museum inside of it. With more than 400 dolls. There is an excellent international guitar festival in August, worth-attending. So you can plan your visit accordingly. There are a couple of beautiful cathedrals, too.
I need to travel alot because of my job and this place was even better than the top hotels in this range of price. very friendly staff, clean room with good smell and good furniture, very comfortable and a great breakfast with menui cooked by a cook and also a bar you can choose what you want to eat. they care about the custumer and you can undrestand that by the facts when they call you to check with you your arrival time, they even bought a chocolate as a welcome gift and it was on the bed when we arrived.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable, with a good size bathroom and big nice shower. The hotel seems to be new and I liked overall the design, modern with a touch of cozy. We were happy we found a parking space in front of the hotel. Even if the hotel has the train tracks in its backyard, the area seemed quiet and safe, the rooms are soundproof and we had a good rest.
Smooth checkin, didnt have to fill any bullshit form, absolute hospitality including feedback call/text from GM, classic window, bathtub, positioning near orthodox church, late checkout granted with no extra fee. Chose it against Plaza, the personel of whom is arrogant and descriptions are deceiving.
It is always a pleasure to go to Plaza Hotel. The staff is friendly, the room size is very good. The bed is conformable, in the bathroom we had all we needed.
An extra point to the cleaning services, they cleaned the room the second day as it was the first day. They left water, coffee and tea.
We spent only one night at the Plaza, however the location was great and very convenient for being in the center of the city. The reception called us a taxi and they were very courteous. We got 2 rooms at the 5th floor and one of them had a great view of the street. Beautiful!
Beautiful hotel, the rooms, the bedclothes, everything, it was very clean beautifully furnished.
The staff was super nice and polite. Breakfast was all you can eat and very
delicious. I am fully staisfied with this hotel ,i really can higly recommend it.
The short stay at Hotel Privo has been great. The location was good, the hotel was easy to reach by car and at a walking distance from the city centre. The parking was free and there were plenty of available parking spaces. The breakfast was delicious.
Modern hotel close to the main reason of our stay (wedding in the neightbourhood). A fair stay for the price you pay. Satisfied with the money paid and services received. Will be back if need to stay in Targu Mures.
Premium feeling hotel and rooms with very good bed. Great furniture and attention to detail View was great. Central location close to most of the city's main sights.
The entire hotel and especially the room were super clean. The location is central and it allowed us to walk by foot almost anywhere. Overall, we highly recommend it.
