The villa was lovely, set in beautiful manicured gardens. The distance from the main centre of Sienna was a bonus, as the location was tranquil. Catching a bus into the centre was a breeze with the bus stop just outside the gates. The staff were amazing. Always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with coffees and scrambled eggs made to order. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

Romantic Renaissance
Located among undulating meadows and Chianti vineyards, Siena shines as a jewel of the Tuscan Renaissance, and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience the famous Palio di Siena horse race, catch the pulse of the city at Piazza del Campo, visit the beautiful Duomo cathedral…and fall in love with this charming city!
Founded by Etruscans around 900 BC, the city was first conquered by Romans and later by Lombards. The Middle Ages saw it becoming the independent and flourishing Republic of Siena, until its annexation to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
The economic difficulties that followed turned out to be a blessing for the preservation of its historic centre. Adorned with frescoes by Ghirlandaio and bass-reliefs by Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and Jacopo della Quercia, the Duomo represents the highest expression of this well-kept legacy. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, with the Palazzo Pubblico and the Gaia Fountain, is still the heart and soul of the city. Follow the labyrinth of narrow streets and passages that irradiate from there and you will be enchanted by its romantic atmosphere from ancient times.
The closest airports are Peretola Airport in Florence and Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa, though Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna is also well connected. While planning your trip, don’t forget to check out the Siena accommodation deals on Booking.com!

This was a great location for visiting Siena and the local region. Although on a bus route the buses aren’t very frequent so it is certainly easier with a car. Parking available at the property. Good restaurant next door - but sadly not at all good for vegetarians!
The monastery on top of the hill is a must - we had a drink up there in the bar - but the food in the restaurant looked great too and was reasonably priced.
A great base for visiting Tuscany.

Beautiful city with interesting sights, but they have to do a lot more if they want to accommodate this number of tourists (especially to create or control the taxi service which is absolutely unprofessional and unreliable).

This was our most liked stop in our almost three week trip to Italy. The property and staff was amazing and they were able to recommend restaurants, arrange taxi service and especially the wine tour to the Mazzie Winery in Fonterutoli. The property was top notch, clean, quiet and would highly recommend if you are staying in Siena.

Everything! What a place.
Everything! What a place. Our favourite experience was the guided walk through the Tuscan countryside! We enjoyed our visit to Siena in spite of the rain on our first day. We visited the Duomo complex and were impressed with the splendour of the Cathedral, the Bapistry and the Crypt but The Piccolomini library was the most impressive part of the complex for us. We enjoyed just walking around the streets of Siena and taking in the centuries old feel of the place.
The room was pretty big and cozy. The hosts were nice and personal. The breakfast was the best one I've had out of my 5 hotels in Italy. It was not a buffet but you can choose if you want sweet or savoury plate. The savoury plate was fresh bread and meats and cheeses. Its a much better experience than a cheap buffet. The hosts also accommodated me with my wishes of showing me things to do around the area. They also helped me figuring out the complicated bus lines of Siena.
We booked a superior room, and it was absolutely fabulous. Large and roomy, including the bathroom, with a stunning central view over the garden and surrounding countryside, it felt like the height of luxury. The hotel was a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day - you could get a drink from the bar and sit in the lovely garden enjoying the view. Although on the western edge of the walled city, it was only a 10-15 minute walk to most of Siena's main sights.
The room was very cozy, clean and comfy. The pillow and mattress were super comfortable for a good sleep. There is free parking at the hotel, very convenient if you come by car. The breakfast was fantastic, with a lot of food variety, nice coffee and home made cakes done by Rita which we really enjoyed. We had a warm welcome by Rita which was very friendly and make sure we had everything we needed. We really recommend the place if you visit Siena and around.
Breakfast and staff were great. Hotel in good location with parking and walkable to center of Siena. Bed not so comfy, bathroom clean but a bit grotty (e.g. grout in shower browning, silicone on shower door brown, not clear if dirt or mold). Fine for a night, pool looked good but did not have time to use it (it seems towels for pool also incur an extra charge which seems a bit much for the price). Fine for passing through which is what I was doing.
Gorgeous views and great location. We changed our plans from driving to taking the train from Florence. Claudio was so helpful with finding a lovely nearby winery to visit and drove us there and arranged a taxi to pick us up after a couple of hours. All the hotel staff were lovely, and shared all kinds of information about Siena and its history. We wish we had stayed another day to explore other nearby towns. Would go back.
Outstanding staff, Lorenzo and Giacomo were extremely helpful during our stay. Lorenzo gave us an intro on the things to see, recommendations on food and also tips on how to move between the hotel and the center of Sienna.
The location is great, the views are breathtaking and the hotel itself is an old house that was built by the Piccolomi family, a noble family from Italy that actually had 2 popes.
This is a modern, stylish suite/apartment located in one of Italy's most beautiful squares: stepping out of the front door and into Piazza del Campo feels just like magic. All of Siena's main attractions are literally within a 10 walk. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning and the WiFi both work properly. Customer service is also superb. Absolutely wonderful all around.
Convenience of driving vehicle close to hotel and having someone valet it for us. We’ve experienced challenges staying in the old part of cities in Italy that limit vehicles which makes it a challenge lugging your luggage from the parking lot. The valet service is worth the parking fee.
Attention to you as a guest similar to the Four Seasons.
Wine tasting in cellar was a great experience!
The hotel is part of the historic centre of Siena. So you go through old portico to get to reception. Break fast is in vauted cellar. You could see the cathedral from our balcony as well as view across countryside. I love all that! It was also very comfortable, clean and staff helpful. Perfect for us.
Clean hotel, beautiful view, and centrally located. Only a few minutes away from Piazza del Campo. Hotel staff and owner provided excellent service, they truly went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our short stay. Would book here again next time I am in Siena.
There is no better location for your stay in Siena. Great room and Pietro gave us the best tips to go around the city, especially where to eat. The best food we tried in Italy was in Siena, thanks to Pietro recommendation.
Excellent breakfast! In my experience the breakfast at smaller hotels in Italy is very modest, but here it is really good! Several types of bread, cereals, juices, fresh fruit and nuts. And the cakes!
The best hotel I have seen in Italy so far. Friendly, professional staff, modern rooms, surprisingly good breakfast. It is located 20 minutes from Siena center, but has free parking in return.
