The staff were friendly in the bar and restaurant
The receptionist was friendly but didn't help me sort out the issues I was having.
And when I raised the issues, upon leaving no apology was given

The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, and the room had a lovely balcony. I had supper there one evening at Pomodoro's and it was excellent food.
Tucked away at the end of a private road and right on the lagoon's edge, this 4-star lodge is a private paradise in the charming village of Wilderness.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated.
Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World.
Plenty of good restaurants - great value.
Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations.
Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property.
This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.
The chalet is located on a property bordering Rondevlei and Langevlei, two lakes of major importance from a naturalist point of view (RAMSAR areas). For birdwatchers (like me), this is a place of great interest. In addition, Tim (the owner) is also a birdwatcher and was very helpful, offering to guide me to find the difficult endemic birds (Victorin's warbler). We had a great time in this beautiful area of the garden route. Self catering mandatory. The chalet is very well equipped for cooking.
We had a great stay here, it was our first night in a hotel after a few days camping on safari. We got upgraded to a bigger suite which was excellent, two balconies and a huge, comfortable bed. The shower and bath were great. The property organised a restaurant booking and a taxi for us which was really helpful. We were also given route recommendations and maps for our journey back to Cape Town which was really appreciated. We only wish we'd had longer to explore Wilderness.
What an amazing relaxing stay in the Wilderness right on the lagoon for swimming, canoeing, bird watching and close to the beach, hikes, restaurants, all adventure activities and the well equipped little Spar.
We loved our excellent, comfortable and super clean accommodation in our well equipped self catering suite. The best was the very friendly and helpful hosts, Nadia and Gert who couldn't do enough to help us with anything we needed, even an early check in.
This is an awesome property. The location is breathtaking and it’s very convenient to explore the nearby region in the garden route , Oudtshoorn and Cango Caves. The host Ms. Hoffman is an artist and her paintings are showcased throughout the property. It has a boutique studio vibe. Hoffmans are a warm couple who welcomes the guests personally and provides the introductory tour to the property. Right on the beach, it’s a great place to relax and explore.
We had a great stay at Wilderness thanks to Amber Light Beach Cottage accommodation. Beautiful room with shower, free parking and awesome communication with host via WhatsApp. Our stay was simply wonderful and highly recommend to everyone travelling on the Garden Route. Next to the accommodation is a great coffee shop by the same owner that prepares a great fresh coffee. Highly recommend and thank for the super memories of Wilderness!
We stayed for one night in the two bedroom and wish we could have stayed longer. Jemma was so helpful and wonderful. The view is incredible and the beach out front is fairly quiet since there aren’t many places next door. Easy walk into town for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious! Highly recommend Sea Paradise and a visit to Wilderness in general.
The Alice in Wilderness style rabbit 🐇 room with chandeliers and an infinity mirror room that makes you want to examine from deep within a good bottle of South 🇿🇦 African 🍷 wine. The close walks to the beach. The great restaraunts. (Minus girlrs on the square. They were terrible) What a lively stay. Nothing was for want, and the host was superb.
I heartily recommend this hotel if you're searching for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's owner and staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The breakfast was tasty with a nice river view.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights in the south-side wilderness area, which was only ten minutes by driving to George Town.
The rondavel cottage was very nice. Completely renovated and tasteful. It is a medium seized hotel very suited for families and groups of friends. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was small and only had a few sunbeds. Nice hotel for a nice price with the buzzle of Wilderness at 2 km.
- location is breath-taking, nothing else to see from the room than the beach and Indian Ocean
- Gary and his staff are genuine and friendly. The breakfast they prepared is difficult to top
- the hotel is nicely decorated, some very cool artworks all around the place
- good dinner options close by
Wow, what views? Would be great for groups, families, truly a spectacular spot. Very accommodating hosts. Lovely included breakfast with breathtaking views. (Paragliders, dolphins and possibly whales,) George and Wilderness and Knysna all have lots to do and fantastic restaurants.
A great hotel for our one night stay in Wilderness. Lovely and spacious room overlooking the beach. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely to have breakfast in our room without an additional cost.
The view, the welcome, the breakfast, the bed. Very relaxing to hear the waves just outside the door. Would have stayed longer but we were travelling through the garden route.
Best value for money. We love the location of the hotel. Breakfast was great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We love the view over the river.
