Nice surprised me, there was so much to see and do.
Nice surprised me, there was so much to see and do. Also the location made other cities accessible so we nipped to Monaco and Cannes by train. Will definitely return but I will book a more central apartment. Ubers were so readily available and the trains were quick and reliable used train line to book on the go. Although the tickets never scanned on the barriers it didn’t matter we still got through. The waterfall looked amazing so might be worth the trek we just admired it from the bars.

Central to visit other areas by train at minimal costs and excellent service. i.e. trains to Monaco or Cannes every 30 minutes - 20 euros for 4 adults one way. Be aware the trains are full to capacity and can be a tight squeeze, but only for 30 mins journey.
Nice is a fantastic city, well worth the visit.
Old town Nice has many eating places and reasonable prices, Majority are Italian based eateries.
Open Top bus tour a necessity as it takes in other areas outwith central Nice.

Nice is a great city.
Nice is a great city. The Food is delicious, it is easy to walk everywhere. You can take a train and see Monaco city, it only takes 20 mins. It is a stony beach, if you want to swim in the sea you should take beach shoes.

Simply amazing!
Simply amazing! Such a coquette city, but calm and relaxing atmosphere, easy access to public transportation in both Nice and entire Cote d'Azur. The water is simply amazing and in the same time you can go on hikes in the surrounding area.
The beach in Nice it's a bit rocky and sometimes the sea currents can be strong, but near Nice you have other beaches in golf areas, were you can enjoy calm and beautiful blue waters.

The location I've stayed in was perfect for a first-time traveller to Nice. I feel like local. I can't speak French but the neighbourhood helped me out when I can't find an ATM to get cash out. That was a real experience I never forget! Took my morning and afternoon walks surround the area if I had no tour on the day. I will be back one day and stay a bit longer. Love the beach walk and so much to see and do. One thing that I am not happy with is "DOG POOP" Don't walk at night if you don't want to get your shoes stumped in these things. Feel angry with the owners! NO RESPONSIBLE! Dirty and smelly surrounds. I have dogs too but we are in Australia embarrassed to not pick up your dog poop. Because of this makes Nice unpleasant to walk sometimes.

Nice is a lovely city.
Nice is a lovely city. Easy to get there with every transportation way. Very easy to get anywhere by train or bus. We didn’t need a car. I loved the market, the old city (already very busy), the Mediterranean Sea and the trail from Nice to Villefranche sur Mer and the one up to Mount Boron
Very convenient to the airport, the tram and the train station. Surprisingly you could not hear the airplanes-very well insulated from sound. The staff went out of their way to help us with some luggage storage issues which made a big difference in our multi-faceted trip using this hotel as a base to visit several other countries in addition to the Côte d’Azur. We took the tram to old town Nice, the train to Cannes, and planes to Spain and then to the US- very convenient, especially with airport shuttle.
The hotel is well-positioned and close to most amenities! The staff was friendly and eager to help and give suggestions when asked. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. When we requested a larger room, as we were a family of three, they did not hesitate to give us another room at no extra charge. Make sure to check out the coffee shop next to the hotel! It, by far, has some of the best coffee I’ve tasted in France! And the staff are excellent!
Thank you for the lovely stay!
Perfect location, no noise at all so very nice easy to get to sleep. The building itself has so much character and we felt super safe during our stay. Very close to old town, new town and train station. Extremely clean, so comfortable and cosy, everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed our stay! The host Arnaud is so helpful, very attentive and was on hand to answer any questions we had. 100% recommend for a couples trip to the South of France!
The location is perfect. The View is magnificent. You could just sit on the balcony and stare at the Mediterranean Sea from morning till night. The easiest access to both the train and the bus. The apartment was appointed perfectly with everything you could want or need. restaurants and shopping within minutes. we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to the beautiful city of Nice France.
The location was the best, right in the heart of Nice, got the tram straight from the airport and the hotel was a few steps away, also walking distance to the beach. Also, to note this place is VERY cheap for Nice so you get exactly what you pay for, don't expect a 5 star hotel when paying this small price. It's a great budget friendly option for those who want to stay in the centre of Nice, ideal for young couple or solo traveller.
Location 5 minutes walk from nice ville station , 5 mins from main shopping street, 20 to old town. Area felt safe , and hotel in quiet street.
Room had clearly been recently renovated - modern and clean. Luggage storage pre check in and after checkout available. Room very quiet...good soundproofing from outside and within hotel.
Very clean, comfortable, standard room. Close to the train station (2 min walk) for easy access to other places in south of France (Monaco, Cannes etc). About 15min walk down to beach and 20min walk to old town Nice - all very accessible.
Trams were very easy to use + receptionist was very helpful with recommendations.
I loved the staff at the hotel. Everyone was so kind and so helpful. It felt like home. The hotel itself is so beautiful and charming. I wanted to feeeeel like I was in France, not in some chain hotel that I can stay at anywhere. The location is incredible too. It’s right in the heart of Nice.
Proximity to the tram station to get to the Nice, France aeroport. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. The neighborhood is very eclectic and diverse. We had a very nice dinner at a close by restaurant recommended by the front desk when I asked for suggestions.
This hotel was very spacious, bright and clean. It was right next to Old Town, which is perfect for going out at night, and right on the beach. The suites were comfy with a beautiful view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool temperate was absolutely incredible
We spent one week in France appartment and it was really amazing! Located two minutes from the beach, clean, cosy, easy to reach, calm and big enough. Close to the centre and the Old city. We would choose this property again. Definitely recommended.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, the staff at the hotel were great, and the restaurant downstairs was fabulous. location is the best, between high shopping, restaurants and bars and the old town for a more traditional nice experience.
The hotel was in a great location, not far from the old town in Nice and a straight walk to the beach from the corner. It was close to Monoprix, pharmacies, shopping and the tram. Not a bad value for the South of France.
The location was amazing, staff was so helpful and friendly! The building and rooms were clean and adorable! :) The breakfast was amazing as well. It’s everything you imagine when you picture staying in France!
1- It was very clean.
2-The staff was very friendly and professional.
3. The hotel is located in the most frequented area of Nice.
If I go to Nice again, I will choose Hotel de France again
Clean, comfy room well situated in Nice, walking distance from city centre and near train station. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you Hotel d'Ostende.
I could not believe such hotel exists in Nice ( France)
Room which I paid €200 was very very smelly. I am very very disappointed and the corridor smells
