Charming staff who were very helpful.
The evening meal was exceptionally good - some of the best food we have had.
Also there are electric chargers on site, which was very helpful

Excellent value for money. I really appreciate the bath in the en suite. Nothing like a nice hot bath to relax in after a long day's drive. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's one of my favourites., so I've probably said all this before.
The Initial by Balladins Béthune is located less than 5 km from the city centre of Béthune and 13 km from Stae Félix-Bollaert Stadium in Lens. It offers en suite bedrooms.

Good location for an overnight while travelling from the Tunnel towards Italy. Staff were great, particularly the young man who checked us in and advised us about restaurants. It was reassuring to have a gated parking area (for which I think we paid €10 but I can’t exactly remember!). We didn’t have drinks or food at the bar but the area looked fine. The room was small but fine and the shower was nice and hot. The hotel is about 10-15 minute walk to the old centre of Béthune.

Good cooking: lovely refurbished room; friendly, helpful staff; close to A26; on-site parking.
The room was of a good size and very comfortable, the ensuite was very clean and well equipped. There was also a connected garden area which is superb. Although this is a very minor point, my wife and I are pretty old and a handle on the wall of the shower would be a very good addition.
Parking, which was superb, was very adjacent to the hotel, very clean and secure and also had electrical charging points.
Dinner was not cheap but excellent, my piece of pork was about the best that I have tasted and dessert (comme tiramisu) was outstanding.
This hotel is very special. We arrived after an almost 10 hour drive from Italy, but the check-in was smooth and quick and our rooms were fabulous. We had a quick freshen up before Dinner at the hotel - what an amazing meal. The menu was varied but not extensive, so you knew that everything would be freshly prepared to order. Some of the best foods we have ever been served, from courgette souffle to freshly baked madeleines served from the baking tray, I would highly recommend.
The hotel is set in private grounds on the edge of a town. Therefore it needs to be self-contained and it is, with a good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The bedroom was well equipped and very clean, the beds comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our waiter asked us our preferred language, really good as we like to use our French when we can.
Nicely renovated hotel in a historical building in a old mining city. Across the hotel is one of the old mining sites. Only 5 minutes from the motorway, close to Lens (for those visiting the Louvre-Lens). Spacious room and bathroom. Friendly staff, very good restaurant in a nice decor that is also visited by locals.
Rooms were superb in a quiet location. Just loved the dining room but thought the bar area was too small if the hotel was full. The restaurant food was excellent served by a waiter with a real sense of humour.
Good location not far from the motorway
Plenty of parking, also had electric chargers
Restaurant on site was excellent
Breakfast was good
We travelled with our dog, which was allowed in the hotel
What an amazing hotel, with a fantastic restaurant. I can't believe we stumbled on this place. Thank you for an amazing stay and making us feel special from the moment we arrived.
Beautifully presented boutique hotel, really high standard for only 3 stars. Big sized room, big bathroom and separate toilette. Very dog friendly, got a room with garden access
Clean and spacious, with everything we needed. We just needed a place to stay to break up a long drive down to the alps (with our cat) and the hotel catered perfectly.
