I was thoroughly impressed with the comprehensive and absolutely delicious breakfast. Everything was top notch. It was the BEST breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. The staff, from check-in to check-out were stellar, courteous and informative. The room was well appointed and the hot beverages were a welcome addition. The availability of the shuttle and their helpful drivers was a bonus.
Providing contemporary en suite accommodation, this hotel is situated in Horley, just 1.5 miles away from Gatwick Airport. Stay and park deals available.

Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and pubs so we had a range of options for dinner. We were only there for an early morning flight from Gatwick so didn't spend time exploring - although it did look as though there would be good walks in the surrounding countryside. We ate at the Wetherspoons a that is an inexpensive option; the staff were very friendly and the ambience was good.
Would certainly choose to stay in Horley again if we needed a night's accommodation before a morning flight from Gatwick.

Many people stay in the area because its so close to Gatwick airport. When you are there, make sure to check out Ye Olde Six Bells. Its a great restaurant that was built in the 1400's as part of a monastery.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells.
There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.
We had a very early flight from Gatwick so decided to stay at the 'Courtyard by Marriot over night. From the moment we arrived we couldn't have asked for better service from the staff. When going to our room we were surprised firstly by its size and then its up to the minute decor . Facilities were great and being so close to the airport terminal we were impressed by the lack of noise.
Overall cleanliness couldn't be faulted.
All in all we couldn't fault the hotel and it made our trip so much easier. Thank you and well done.
Horley is definitely not a touristic place, however we found the hotel very suitable as it was close to a Covid Testing Centre where we we supposed to be in the early morning. It is also within easy reach from Gatwick Airport which is most convenient for an early flight but do not panic, the hotel has double-glazed windows everywhere and you will enjoy a quiet night ! A lovely breakfast will also await you.
No hotel can beat the location of this one in Gatwick airport, directly at the departures area.
for planes ehnthusiastics (like my son) this is heaven... you can watch the planes take off and land all day and night from a big window in the room - but note that some rooms don't have a window at all.
Guests get a small discount on restaurants in the terminal
Can’t beat the location right it Gatwick Terminal 2. Clean bed, very quiet. So if you just want to sleep this fits the bill. A cool concept for a miniature hotel.
It is, however, tiny!! You wouldn’t want to spend much time here (also not good if you are not athletic enough to climb into the bunk pod, or if you get claustrophobic - it’s veeery small)
Easy check in by friendly guy. Comfy clean warm room, small but had what we needed inc tea/coffee making facilities. Really don't understand the bad reviews..when we next fly from Gatwick we will stay again. Left our car in the hotel carpark for the duration of our holiday. Horley village is a 5 min drive away with shops and takeaways
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Horley train station which is pretty easy even with big bags. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was round the corner from the main entrance and was clean and comfortable. It's a 5 minute taxi ride from Gatwick Airport. As we were leaving early we didn't have breakfast there.
Hotel is 10/15 mins walk from the train station. The room was spotless, a good size and the bed was comfortable. An iron was provided on request. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. The hotel provided a transfer to Gatwick airport at 4.00am at a small charge.
Location excellent as Horley is far enough away from Gatwick airport to be quiet, but short drive away by hotel shuttle. Good choices at their restaurant but we went for short walk to stretch legs and ate at Farmhouse pub, lovely meal, historic building.
Location, food, rooms and helpful staff. Rooms are completely acceptable for a airport hotel. Food courts at Gatwick departure hall are poor, so eat at the cafe bar.
Parking at departures hall is OK, but there is valet parking, but how to use it?
The staff were very welcoming and great throughout our stay, we dined at the hotel's restaurant which was good. The surrounding of the hotel is in a nice area and close to Gatwick Airport which is what we needed the stay for.
Well run hotel, I had to leave early so could not try the breakfast.
The bus stop to the airport is either in Massets Road towards Horley or on the Brighton Road.
Would stay here again as access to Gatwick is so easy.
The hotel manager was very friendly and helfpul, our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is included and the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to Horley train station, near Gatwick airport.
Excellent hotel, large rooms, tea, delicious breakfast, very beautiful breakfast room, friendly helpful staff. Very beautiful place, near Gatwick. Everything is great! They accept cash. Thank you so much🙂
Location is very good. It is at the Gatwick Airport area, no need to book a taxi or a bus, just walk from your plane to the Hotel level. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pastries were fresh.
Well located in Gatwick Airport (North side of airport, but just a short 3 min free tram ride to South International flight side). Lovely modern room & helpful staff. Nice restaurant in hotel.
Sofitel is a very well located hotel to Gatwick north terminal. The reception area is quite impressive. The rooms are of a nice size and the beds are extremely comfortable.
