Everything about the Redgarth Inn was perfect. Host Stuart made sure we were made welcome. The rooms were lovely and well maintained and had everything you would need. The location was also perfect. We ate in the restaurant at night and the food was excellent. Breakfast was continental, but couldn't have been better.

Strathburn Hotel Inverurie by Compass Hospitality, hotel in Oldmeldrum

Set in Inverurie, 28 km from Beach Ballroom, Strathburn Hotel Inverurie by Compass Hospitality offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

First and foremost I would like to bring special attention and praise to the front desk concierge, 'Sam'. In all the hotels I've vacationed in around the world, no other concierge I have met has even remotely come close to the professionalism, customer service, friendliness and care of duty to both the establishment of which she is employed and me, the visiting guest. She is an irreplaceable asset to the Strathburn Hotel, and I truly hope that they recognise what a gem they have and compensate her accordingly. As for the property, Strathburn Hotel is well situated in a very peaceful location of Inverurie with local facilities within walking distance. It is a modern hotel with a touch of classic Scottish style thrown in. There is plenty of parking for those driving and was very easy to find. For those of you who are looking for entertainment, Aberdeen is a mere 25 minute drive from the hotel containing all the typical amenities you would expect from a city of this size. It even has a small amusement park on the beachside if you're looking for something fun to pass the time. All-in-all I had a great stay in the Strathburn Hotel in Inverurie and it would certainly be my first choice location if I am up that way again. Thank you for a fantastic welcoming stay. Especially you, Sam.

    Faultless.

Faultless. Beautiful decor, practical layout, great food, helpful staff, the team here work hard and are getting it right. If you’re worried about spending a little more than you intended don’t be, this place is worth it. My tip would be get the Sirloin in the Cave bar. First class , well worth it

We had a lovely family get together. We were made really welcome. The food pack that with us. Was a nice welcome surprise. The apartment was just right for us lovely view over the village. The restaurant being right next to the apartment was very good but no noise at all. Truly lovely. Leak family.

Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch - ie no signs to it in the village or on the road from New Machar. We were staying with my son in Newmachar, so we didn't go anywhere else. We'll be back in the summer, so ask me all of this again & I'll tell you, but I suspect that if you weren't into golf, the hotel would seem a bit biased towards golf. So a tennis or bowling green, something to do if its raining e.g. a dart board & a pool table - otherwise its all a bit too hushed tones & posh, but there's not enough buzz when you go into the bar? Oh, and the wifi in the stables need a repeater to make it fast enough to stream. If the TV in the room had had iPlayer ie was a smart TV, we could have watched Tina Turner on it rather than on my phone with buffering!...but these a trivial details. If this hotel was in Edinburgh or Glasgow it would kick every other hotel's butt!

The hotels position in the golf course was fantastic, view from our room were great! Unfortunately covid spoilt the ambiance of what was a pleasurable short break. The evening meal of beef was excellent not as sure of the other food, it was a hit or miss according to your taste. The Australian barossa red wine was very good but that's my taste! An all round good hotel for a short break.

it is a nice hotel - reception staff are very pleasant. Corona arrangements take a little off the experience However we found the service at breakfast very poor with orders taking far too long. Service staff forgetting orders or making promises to return with tea and such and not doing so at all No marmalade available for three days -other random shortages - for which there seemed no reason My room-quite a nice suite with a lovely big bathroom - however spoilt by giant green exit sign which bathed the whole room green at night - who wants to sleep as if in an elevator?

I stayed for one night whilst away with work. I had a room overlooking the hills which was beautiful, with lovely flowers along the windowsill outside. Unfortunately breakfast started at 7.30am which was too late for me, however without asking a member of staff offered me some food and a bottle of water to take away with me on my travels. The evening meal was lovely and the owner of the hotel came over and had a chat. Very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

Perfect location in the heart of the town of Oldmeldrum. Great facilities within 100 metres of the home. Home done out to a nice modern standard and handed over in a very clean condition. The property comes with decent internet so general internet use such a streaming etc works well. Great to have a working fireplace as we used it every evening. Kindling and log/coal can be sourced at various locations in the town.

The hotel is well situated with a lovely garden and seating area outside. The owner, Stuart was so welcoming and friendly and made an effort to chat to each one of his guests and made us feel so welcome at the hotel. Customer service was second to none. The room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Best meal I've had in a long time.

The house was beautifully presented and very spacious inside. The photos dont do it justice! Parking was easy and plentiful, and there are lots of options to eat, drink, socialise or shop locally, both in Oldmeldrum or Inverurie 5 minutes away. The house was immaculate, and the coal fire a welcome addition during a cold weekend.
